Sky should save itself some money and sack everyone involved in the show

They will have been fed lines from Team Robertson before the broadcast.

What a waste of everyone's time.

I read that in Kirsty Stanway's voice haha.

It's basically a parody now. Like someone watched This is Spinal Tap and thought that's what rugby needs.

Just listened to The Bunnings Trade Rugby Run with Mark Watson and Justin Marshall. Watson was frank and honest as usual, and he didn't spare the ABs, but Marshall, whom I usually like, refused to criticise them. It was embarrassing. It just shows that you really shouldn't be talking to anyone who is too close to the team or the coach, it's a complete waste of time.

@akan004 Marshall plays golf and squash with Robertson. It's disappointing that he can't set that friendship aside and do his job of being candid with the NZ Rugby public.

Lol Marshall was more than happy to throw Foster under the bus to the South African's at the World Cup by saying that Foster wanted Razor barred from games, tried to have a fight with Akira Ioane after we went down to Ireland at home, and now isn't saying a word of relevance to protect his mate(s).

What a disgrace he and the media are.

Marshall obviously doesn’t play squash with Foster.

Infact, where's that guy who gave Rob Penney all those tough questions when the Crusaders were struggling last year? Get him back.

Time for those on SM to start publicly criticising the NZ rugby "media". I bet the ARP will be no different in their analysis/critique. The majority of Stuff/NZH rugby scribes are Robertson sycophants. There are a couple of notable exceptions (Paul Cully, for example) but most are too scared to criticise the current coach and assistants compared to the Foster era. Weak.

Man, you guys are 100% right in your observations on former players in the media..... I've just sat through 20 minutes of this and I thought of this thread.

The ex players (in this case James Parsons) really do act first and foremost as apologists and defenders of the current players and coaches. Its so unbelievably lame that they cant just offer honest and objective criticism.

Multiple times in this interview Tony Johnson asks probing questions to try and elicit some honest feedback from Parsons and what you get in return is "umm, ahh, don't throw the baby out with the bath water". They are categorically incapable of calling it as it is even though that is exactly their job.

Thanks, ok, that makes a lot of sense then. The minute TJ teed him up for a shot at the players/coaching team he shied away.

And he’s played with or against most if not all of the players in the AB squad. It’s guys like Goldie, Mils etc that should feel no allegiance and be ripping in.
