Future of international rugby-re tours etc
-
I have been reading how NZR and SA are supposedly shafting Aus and Argies are meant to be pissed (according to Aus posters.
Now I can understand angst, but personally for me , I love the idea of old fashioned tours happening. I know NZ and SA are doing them at 4 year intervals etc and can stuff up RC, but is this that bad? I actually don't see why Aus can't get into it in other years, or even try and get something happening with others while we doing it.
I find RC getting a bit stale anyway, even though we having a beuaty this year, and really think this is a great way forward for international rugby altogether.
I admit ,it could be an age thing, as I remember how much fun tours were, with a few games going to provinces etc. we had a good 6 weeks or so to get into it. I believe it a great was of developing players , rather than just test matches.
And I think it good for everyone to do it, not just NZ and SA.
