When we win TRC all our problems will be forgotten.

Maybe now is a good time to renew that Australian passport that been collecting dust. If I do express delivery, reckon it will be ready by the end of 80mins on Saturday?
What the hell?
You've got an Australian passport?
Have you no pride, man?
Burn the fucker - along your Waltzing Matilda song sheet, your Akubra hat and your shares in the Tex Morton and his performing Rooster Show!

I suspect Duluth is right about SB in that his body can't really withstand the rigors of test footy anymore, going down the Blackadder route unfortunately. Given results this year his days as captain have to be numbered. He was superb a couple of years back but injury has meant he hasn't been able to recapture his form, I wonder if some extended time out from the game to get the body right might do him some good.
-
I see the TAB has us at $1.16 and Aus at $5. That's some seriously good money on Aus, they are every chance to beat us this weekend and on form should do so. They are banking on the Eden Park record and an Aus mental block to get the ABs home.
Personally I am picking Aus by 7 - 10 points, we are consistently shit in the final 20 and their coach is so much better than ours it's not even funny.

We have Vaii, Darry and Holland if he's crocked. And Patty T for a while

@No-Quarter Valetini is a big loss for them.
-
@No-Quarter I thought that when we played the Jaapies at Eden Park.
But, if you get rich, remember all your friends down in Ta$man!

This team is stronger than the AB side v SA.
Holland is a ball supply unit, Roigard's defensive kicking ability, PT in good form and Clarke's aerial skills.
Good to see Carter retained on the wing. -
Little bit crazy having the aging Mercedes parked at number 10 while the newer models are sitting idle.

Good to see Carter retained on the wing. The Holland hype train has got to stop. He’s let in two tries in a row with lazy ruck defence

@BerniesCorner Taylor back is also important.
Big Sami goes to the bench and Brodie goes home to think again.
Surely our scrum isn't ging to capitulate to the Aussies? Lineout looks strong if the throwing is good.
I'm feeling at least as confident as I dd for the last game!

I'm caught in two minds here. On the one hand, I do think that is more or less the best available 23. On the other hand, I think only dropping DMac and Kirifi from that shambles feels too generous. Granted there is a couple back from injury, but I think you could make a reasonable argument that Lomax, Sititi, B Barrett, J Barrett, Proctor, Williams & Newell also could have paid the price.
Would have been a strong statement to leave out a few more, but the pressure Razor is under probably means he can't take a long-term shot like that.
McKenzie is still in the 23, so that 6 tries to 1 drubbing is rightly all laid at the feet of the bench loosie.
We can also pin it on the halfbacks…..
True that, 12 cap Cam Roigard must already be significantly better than Carter and McCaw ever were if his absence results in a rout like that.
While he'll be an upgrade, he won't win the match on his own.
There's no quick fix for the mess we seem to be in.

Also we aren't facing RG Snyman. That dude gives me nightmares.

Where I am coming from is I think Aus will be seriously fired up for this one, like close to RWC final fired up, and will have plenty of self belief they can pull it off after their trip to SA. We will need to weather a storm of sorts, and I am not convinced we will be able to do so without conceding points. And if we get behind on the scorecard, well our own self-belief would be at an all time low after last weekend, so I can see them running over the top of us the way SA did (hopefully not that many points though).
I also think SA lost the first test more than we won it given how many basic errors they made. I said in another thread we currently rely on the opposition being below par, if Aus are on form we are in a bit of trouble.
All that said, our players know the Aussies a lot better and have had plenty of success against them at Super and test level, so that probably evens things up a bit

Games I saw him play weren't so much he couldn't tackle, but more he seemed not to attempt them at times
He'll feel right at home in this AB team then....
-
@No-Quarter I reckon Aussies at Eden Park are a little bit like Blues in Christchurch. There's a mental hurdle to get over.
I'm not betting on them.

Is it just me . . .
This is just about the most interesting AB match for me, since i'd say the 2015 WCF.I've always hated losing to Australia in anything. I can remember Brian McKechnie having no chance with that worm burner.
Having said that I'm glad they're back and playing good rugby. We need them in good form.
