FFS. When are they going to ditch him. He wasn't up to it as a ref, so they just hid him off screen to continue making poor decisions. I really hope he doesn't get involved but he has a way of injecting his awful thought processes where they aren't wanted or needed.

@booboo I read something somewhere about them wanting to aim for a 5pm crowd to encourage different people i.e. families to go, as they were worried that all the 7pm crowd had already been to the previous game and wouldn't want to pay twice in a short period.
And it paid off. Both games sold out.
5pm start time is so much better for families across the board, especially if you have young kids that usually goto bed about 8pm. I've always detested the 7/730pm start time, I think it was only done originally to suit audiences up north.

Is it NZR's job to allow a few Victorians to catch a passing glimpse of a game they're not interested in, and are never going to be, or to provide a better experience for their own fans and local kids who are never going to watch a game they're not interested in?

They moved the storm sharks prelim to Friday , but that may have also been due to the storm play across the road from the mcg .
Traffic and parking in the area would be impossible
