And his two first box kicks were shockers.

Roigard wasn't perfect, but without his accuracy and speed of passing, combined with his running threat, there's no way we'd have had the ability to create pressure through our carry. He actively negated the "fuck we've gone nowhere after three phases, let's kick aimlessly" option which inevitably handed back possession.

Went for Roigard, Taylor and Jordie. All were superb, and are the most important players in this team by a country fucking mile. Jordie is already in the leadership group, they need to add Roigard and give Taylor the captaincy. Those three set the standard anyway.

Didn't watch the full match, but Roigard was easily the best in Black. Head and shoulders better.
That he made a fair number of mistakes (understandable after being out for a while) speaks volumes about the rest of the team. And not in a good way.

Roigard easily - but surprisingly he wasn’t actually that accurate, just was busy and actually asking questions of the opposition, which has been a bit absent from the inside backs lately. Jordie really grew into the game, and I think it’s clear that he is a better player when Beauden is not on the field with him. He was initiating play and looked far more like the player who came back from Ireland. And, Taylor next but there were others who did well (Carter, Clarke).
