Don't that have the automatic half from the injury match?

That's already counted in the 14 points.

Morikawa and Hatton tie. Europe reach 14 1/2 and its mission accomplished. Their fifth win on American soil and their first for 13 years.
Captain Luke Donald has done it again. Two in a row.
But boy, did the Americans make that a stressful last few hours.

Plenty of salty Yanks out there moaning about the 'draw' after the injury withdrawal on SM.
Silly or not, it is what it is.

Everyone concerned knew about the envelope rule in advance. It's been there, rightly or wrongly, since 1979.
It was used in 1991 when the Americans won 14 1/2 to 13 1/2 to retake the Cup in the " war on the shore" in South Carolina.
Who knows, if Viktor Hovland had been fit, that he wouldn't have won a full point.
Even if a full point had gone to the Americans from his match, the European would have still won the 2025 Ryder Cup
The main reason the Americans lost this contest was that they got smashed in the foursomes and the fourballs on Friday and Saturday. Their post mortem should start and end with that.

The Yanks seem to be every bit the flat track bullies. So many big names but most found wanting
Well not on the final day in the individual matchups. I was quite impressed how they managed to play their way back into it.
As a team and as pairs on the course, they sucked.
I dont think this was a strong US team and everything apart from it being played in NY, pointed to a Europe win
