Had to ask if I was having my leg pulled… hope I’m not so apologies in advance if it isn’t correct. Usual contact so have no reason to believe it isn’t correct. Maybe I’m just a little surprised due to a certain name on the wing(which should bring some interesting opinions).

    1. Roigard
    2. Dmac
    3. Faingaʻanuku
    4. J. Barrett
    5. Tupaea
    6. L. Carter
    7. Jordan

    Bench
    21. Ratima
    22. Ioane
    23. Love

    Have at it!

I assume Clarke is out hurt? Tupaea played well when he came on, Proctor has failed to grab his opportunities as yet. Reiko on the bench is solid (good cover in MF, but no gas at wing).

Leicester gets his chance as soon as Razor could get him in, time to silence the Fern's sceptics (or not)

I actually like that backline a lot more attacking threats, assuming Clarke is injured.

Tupaea out of position but he offers more cutting edge than Proctor has so far. I hope he goes well.

Faingaʻanuku will be doing his best to satisfy Razors wishes til Mounga turns up.

Sounds precautionary with it being the same ankle as his previous injury.

@Landers92 also just letting you know that D Mac worshipper has nearly the same backline except Clarke still in 11

If that’s the lineup then it’s fair.

Proctor has played enough games now and has just been kinda ‘there’. Nothing about his game screams potential world class centre. QT is an angry runner at least.

Leroy has been given a crack and due to the current winger shortage I can see how LF gets his chance. I’ve always liked a bit of thunder and lightning between 11 and 14.

Rieko perfect bench material until Leinster have reinvigorated his career. The ABs are in need of his character. Need more like him.

Blueben can rock up and let his nuts hang. Let him learn his trade.

Definitely interesting. Don’t think many would have picked that backline to start the year.

Not too outrageous for me - the obvious DMac inclusion, QT in for Proctor who has had enough chances - and Rieko is clearly a better option on the bench - so the only real surprise is LF. Which certainly feels like an odd selection, but TBH I didn't watch enbough super rugby to have a view on who should be wearing 11 ahead of him (unless they went Rieko 11 and Proctor on the bench)

On the whole I don't mind, except where's Clarke? (Don't really mine Leicester but like Clarke a lot.)

Other than that there's not too much controversial.

    Clarke is potentially injured-ankle.

Analysis: All Blacks have found a keeper in Carter

Outstanding in his first two Tests, Leroy Carter appears to have the ability and mindset to be a long-term wing option, writes Patrick McKendry.

I can't find an official confirmation, but it would seem he has failed to recover from reinjuring his ankle

He hasn't grabbed his opportunity by the scruff of the neck, regardless of how bad the backline has been in general. It's not the end for him yet, but I think a change was reasonable
