    There’s just nothing the great man can’t do.

    With Tom Blundells recent woes I wouldn’t be surprised if SBW donned the keeping gloves and gave test cricket a go.

    Have you seen Rocky Elsom recently? If so, the French legal system would like to know where he is.

    The former Walllaby skipper has been fined 100,000 Euros and given a two-year jail sentence for misusing funds when he was Narbonne President.

    @sparky it's horrible.

    I saw a reference to an italian study that suggested that elite athletes got MND at a rate up to 6x the population - due to the high exertion and oxygen deficits apparently.

    Total suck though. Horrible disease.

    Was wondering about why it seems common in sport.

    Sad for Moody and his family.

    One would expect long distance athletes to be fucked

    Must be a combo of many factors

    Must be a combo of many factors

    Was thinking about this - long distance tend to be aerobic heavy monsters rather than 'spiking' effort.

    So they aren't going full anaerobic effort like (for instance) pushing in a scrum in Union. Or doing sprinting combined with contact/effort. So possibly not a great comparator.

    righto @MiketheSnow I googled:

    We found that a small proportion of people who are genetically predisposed to engage in high levels of physical activity also carry a genetic risk for MND, but only when it comes to very intense anaerobic exercise. Other forms of exercise, like weightlifting, had no effect. Crucially, this link appeared to be independent of head injury, which has also been suggested as a potential cause of exercise-associated MND.

    He got a bit cocky and got absolutely skewered by Alan Carr. Did a real Owen Franks on him.

    It going to be interesting to see how Joe Marler cashes in after his stint on The Celebrity Traitors. I think he'd be brilliant on a breakfast radio show
