@MN5 I'm not up on the timeline in the SW universe, but assuming it is set before our previous encounters with the Hutt, it isnt unreasonable to assume he may have once been more than a big old lump.
The hutt's are a whole race so this is just another one of them
whats with the razor crest?...hoping they have found a new one and this isn;t actually set between set between season one and two or something
stupid name
also wondering how long they milk them....cant help but thing we need a time jump...see a teenage grogu?
-
@Kiwiwomble yeah I read it as him referring to Jabba, rather than any if them.

@MN5 agree....and thats from a movie that uses the plot device "somehow palpatine returned"
its get more and more stupid the more you thin about it...this dagger was made AFTER the deathstar was destroyed...so the bad dude (whos name i cant remember) made this thing as a map (too a bleedingly obvious location, the emperors throne room?)...but then went to use it for a while, they talk about how it was used to commit horrific acts (ie killed a lot of people with it?)....but by the time they find it they treat it like this ancient artifact....its probably 20 years old....its like holding up a ginsu knife as sacred.....and thats all forgetting the idea they just walked up to that locations...randomly...and it was the exact place they had to stand for it to work

It is the worst Star Wars film ever made. Even worse than the Last Jedi which was shit.
The Force Awakens is far and away the best of the sequels and it still pales in comparison to the others that came before.
I’m not even gonna mention those stupid horse things running along a star destroyer

come on...the huge spaceships with lazers is just not going to expect people on horses with sticks so its bound to work....thats why there are out there currently still using bows and arrows.....
i think people that truely like either of them are just slightly blinded by some stunning visuals
never forget bombers in space or "sneaking" down to a near by planet.....in clear line of site of the bad guys...or the only mention of fuel in star wars....or the movie building to a long side quest...that goes no where....or what they did to carrie fisher.....im getting annoyed

At least the writers listened and pretty much got rid of Rose for the final instalment. If only they did the same for Finn.
……also this carry on was beyond pathetic

……also his carry on about how his character was written was beyond pathetic
in the relms of pretty much all the charters being badly written....(REY!!! x100 over 3 films) i didn;t mind rose (and the actress didn;t deserve what she got)....how they ruined the old charaters and then Rey and Finn in general we're all much higher up the list

that and "Some how Palpatine returned..."
I'm glad you agree.
So fucken cringeworthy when Poe delivered that line, he at least did have a few decent moments though, Finn never did.
I did actually like the Kylo Ren/Rey dynamic too even if she was ridiculously "OP".
The originals and prequels had some pretty hammy dialogue too but at least it was generally delivered with a bit of wit and charm.
This just sounded so rushed, last minute, lazy and shit.
Hopefully @Nepia comes along to mention how the sequels are so much better than the prequel trilogy
-
@MN5 i think the larger thing that gets me (putting aside the bad charaters etc)...the originals tell a story...the prequeals tell a connected story, how the universe got to what we saw in the originals....the only thing the squeals do is UNDO everything from the previous 6
charters we loved?......estranged and broken
universe we spend hours watching fall and rise again.....small and immediately broken
the threads of hope seeded at the end of VII?...never saw any of them -

but yeah, Chewie and Lando looked pretty happy at the end ( which makes John Boyegas racist rant even more pathetic considering Lando was a bona fide hero WHO SURVIVED AT THE END ) but Lukes legacy was trodden over and his character turned to a weird, contradictory hermit.
Han going back to being a dodgy smuggler ? Leia finding the force and floating ?
If anyone knew how to write they would have had Admiral Akbar as the hero who sacrificed himself, not a weird purple haired lady who we knew nothing about and cared for even less.
The low speed chase ? the pointless Casino planet side quest ? Rose pushing FInn out of the way so she didn't sacrifice what she loved ?
What a clusterfuck.

@MN5 i will die on this hill
carrie fisher had died before the last jedi was finished production and if we're all honest Leia does bugger all after the space flying scene, have her force PUSH the other people on the bridge back through the door (a force skill we know exists)...saving them like bad ass bitch she was...and float off, give her a heros send off
they made her selfish and save herself only to die not long afterwards

Yeah that scene was so bizarre as was keeping Leia alive
we all knew she died before filming was completed, i assumed and many did too i imagine that they would take that opportunity to kill Leia off as well. Instead we get that weird space mary poppins scene and keeping her around in episode 9 by using unused scenes and doubles stitched togetherOf all the crimes they committed in the sequels, the biggest gripe for me is they never had the big original 3 in a scene together.
We never saw Luke, Leia and Han (and Chewy) all together.
Such a wasted opportunity -
