Started off as though it was going to be good and seemed a decent premise, spiralled out of control into a steaming pile of shit at an ever increasing rate, the ending made me want to throw something at the telly.
2 cabins out of 10 cabins.
Ended up watching this tonight for some reason. (Mrs M's watchlist)
Yeah, it was really shit from 15 minutes in.

It’s possible but at 95 he might struggle a bit with the climbing stunts although spending time in the loo is pretty common at that age.
Add an old man threesome into the script and Clint will pop the movie out in a couple of weeks.

Never seen it. There’s actually a few films he directs that I haven’t bothered with. I prefer him on the screen.

Yep. Utter shit and yes, it did start pretty well too !
How come.......
none of those rich piston wristed gibbons on the boat could tell Anne/Carrie were two different people ?Keira Knightly looks better with ( slightly ) more meat on her bones though so that's something.
Also the boat was flash and Norway looks nice.

More slightly lesser known Clint flicks
Coogans Bluff
Small Town Arizona deputy sheriff goes to New York to apprehend a criminal who has skipped bail. Starts off as a Western, then moves to a classic fish out of water tale with Clint pretty overwhelmed by the big smoke. Nails three fine looking women ( especially the very first one ), clashes with some authority figures and dishes out some memorable beat downs. Nice motorcycle stunt work at the end too. Good enjoyable pre Dirty Harry cop flick.
3.5 tying prisoners to a rail out of 5 Bluffs to get another prisoner out of jail
Thunderbolt and Lightfoot
A pattern I've seen emerge from Clint flicks is that he surrounds himself with buffoons to make himself look cooler. He meets his match here though in a very young Jeff Bridges. Outstanding rapport from the two of them in a classic buddy heist movie. Really enjoyable romp and some great banter between them. Also ends on a real downer. Genuinely emotional stuff.

I watched Caught Stealing today, essentially Darren Aronofsky doing Tarantino. Didn't really work. Wasn't bad like a Snyder movie, was watchable, just not memorable and didn't really nail it's tone.

Watched three movies this week, doesn't usually happen as I don't really watch movies at home and usually just head to the cinema once a week Don Draper style during work hours. But a mate wanted to see a movie this week so I went to a second, and I always watch at least one horror movie at a mates house each October (they watch a horror movie a night).
Weapons: Enjoyed this film even though we don't really get to know the why which was a bit annoying. Kind of batshit crazy.
Springsteen - Deliver Me From Nowhere: Another is the recent music biopic style which are focused on a set period of an artist's career rather than a Bohemian Rhapsody entire career style one. Set before the making of the Nebraska album, but also includes the making of Born in the USA. This is getting mixed reviews, a bit of a kicking from some critics, but I thought it was really good. It introduced me to new stuff I didn't know about Springsteens career. Carmie from the Bear plays Bruce, and Jeremy Strong plays his manager. Its not strictly about music but I don't want to reveal what it's about because the Empire podcast completely spoiled the next movie for me so I don't want to be that guy.
Roofman: A pretty fun movie about a guy who robs McDonalds by getting in though the roof, he gets caught, goes to prison, breaks out and this movie is about what happens after that. It's fairly comedic but is also a drama. Stars Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst.

Great work by the leads. Not so much from the supporting cast. But still an amusing black/ romantic comedy.

Stephen King adaption of young men in a post war America volunteer to walk until they are the last one to win a big bunch of money and a 'wish', the catch is, you cant stop or drop less the 3mph, if you drop out, you are shot.
I think its meant to deliver a message about friendship, human spirit etc...

Watched it this weekend too.. it’s good..
Buuut as a long time fan of the book it left me
Conflicted
So many changes from the original story and character changes/left out too
Biggest change from the original Stephen king novella is who survived at the end..One change that was made and it was 100% correct is the speed, for some reason it was 5mph which you can imagine would be near impossible to keep up
