    Ireland must be pretty bad for everyone to be writing them off against such an inconsistent team as ours .

    Geez I will have to reread all the posts, I haven't noticed anyone writing off the Irish. See a few thinking we will win, but hardly writing Irish off. And a some of that may or may not because the Irish team are basically in first test since 6Ns.

    Not so much here , but the media and general public , Irish supporters seem to think they have no chance

    Given the narrow/small dimensions of the pitch (I believe Solider Field actually does't meet the required dimensions of a field but receives an exemption?) I wouldn't mind Leicester getting another start - his power could be particularly useful.

    Agreed. Id be going for the hammer over the scalpel myself.

    Caleb 11
    Jordie 12
    Tupea 13
    Leicester 14

    All the backline fatties.

    Will Jordan at the back looking good for the cameras.

    It'll be interesting who they go with at centre. Tupaea should be starting given how well he played in Perth and the fact that Proctor hasn't been as good as we'd all like but Robertson did say Proctor was only being rested for that match.

    Well, with the dimensions of the field as they are, we could use some commonsense this time and assume that line outs might be even more important than usual (and quick throw ins unlikely). With that in mind, not selecting our 6 as a lock would be a good start. Pat T wasn’t exactly a line out specialist either. In fact just thinking about the ramifications of that field would be good. Actually with this team I could leave it at that “just thinking”.

    Aside from 111 years of history we were on an 18 game streak at the time too. It still pisses me off.

    You know fellas, I know this is the Irish test we discussing, but I genuinely worried we might lose to Scotland for first time on this tour. Somehow think we are or should be metally set for this one, and I worry about relaxing in tests after.

    Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if we lost against Ireland, Scotland and England after bragging about a grand slam.

    @canefan

    I'd agree with you, except for what happened last time.
    Cant possibly happen twice; can it?

    The Irish won't have the element of surprise this time. But we are probably a weaker team this time. But maybe so are they...
