Ireland v All Blacks - Chicago2

Pleased to see both Leicester and Caleb in the 23.
Will be interesting how Tupaea goes at 13 with BB at 10.
Bit of pressure on De Groot to lift his game.
I'm not sure Lord or Darry are great options as bench locks but hopefully Lord can step up to the challenge.

The team naming has become very dull. The 23 almost picks itself, the same underperforming players get picked again and again and almost nothing ever surprises.

That's not true, I'm genuinely ( and pleasantly ) surprised Tupaea got picked over Proctor

Really? Proctor has struggled to stamp his mark all year. The only thing that put a question mark of that selection was Robertson saying Proctor was only being tested for the Perth test but that turned out to be another example of Robertson just saying whatever he thinks sounds good at the time.

No argument here, all I'm saying is it's much harder to get out of this team than in it.

Only real concern is BB. Just out of form.
Out of form since 2019 when Mounga took over at 10.....
He's had his moments. Was it this year he git injured against the Brumbles?
Up to that point in that game he was looking like the best Beauden to ever Barrett. Not got back yet here.

Yeah, he injured his hand and was subbed at halftime.
I just hope to God things don't regress back to the early part of the rugby championship where the ABs are kicking the ball away left right and centre.
Retained possession much better v the Wallabies and it worked out well.

He is an awful interviewee, and as for the players, completely devoid of any character. Robots.
It's been drilled out of them.

I miss the days when players were allowed to have personalities,
Although it’s league , imagine how this would go down now

Rassie is dancing all over us at the selction table and in the media.
He had a bloke banned for pulling the bollocks off another fella and he tweets "we have to beat them on the field and in the board room". Thats a leader.
We have Scott Hansen saying "we want the TMO to have a cup of tea this week".
For want of a better expression in the culture war world we now occupy, we dont half act like a bunch of cucks.
Bang of beta energy off us. From the top down.

Am.i wrong in being worried about the selections at 11 and 13 on the basis that Tupaea normally never plays the 80 for the ABs and Clarke didn't at Eden Park.....
Leicester Fainga'anuku is on the bench of course but one way or the other one of Tupaea or Clarke is gonna have to go the distance.
Maybe I'm overthinking it but would it have been better to start Fainga'anuku and have one of QT or Clarke on the bench?
I guess they are fully confident in Clarkes fitness.
With bench changes they could also move QT to 12, Jordie to 15 and Will to wing, with LF off the bench at 13..but yep probably not likely at all (and a huge amount of changes).

Chiefsaders bench is interesting.
The Crusaders haven’t poached Tosi….yet
I don't think there'd be many pans or pots big enough.

Wow. Proctor must really have needed a decent rest.
Still recovering from a visit to his specialist Proctor-logist. While the specialist is no doubt pleased to see the back of him.

No wonder Holland has resigned rather than re-signed.
Because of QT at 13?

Was Holland in charge of the Canes when they signed Proctor on a 5 year contract as a schoolboy? Now he's thrown his toys as he's been overruled?
