YBH, I don't have an issue with it, why tie up a PI player based on a game on an EOYT for this team?

1. All New Zealand players are Pacific Island players.

2. I don't think the odd PI player who gets a run for the AB XV and then never makes the ABs and then switches to a PI team is stopping us winning silverware.

Marginal gains and all that. Other nations are engaged in signing up as much talent as they can (look at Ireland and Scotland). I've no problems with us doing the same, especially now that the stand down period has been reduced to 36 months.

The Brazil tournament squad has about 9 players based overseas including a kiwi. Most of the Brazil based players play for their pro team, the Cobras

Belgium are ranked 22. I havent really followed their progress but it would suggest that they're on the improve?

It was 22-3 until late in the game. I thought Belgium winning would be an upset but their ranking is higher.
