Does it work the other way round, too? I’m 56 - if you’re old enough you’re good enough
With the loyalty some of these players get shown these days, some of them might still be playing in Black at 56......

If your name was Reuben Love you'd have about 3 Test starts to your career...

No wonder Holland has resigned rather than re-signed.
Because of QT at 13?
His protégé on outer.

I’d like to see them be bold. Start that young guy. Take that risk. Now is the time. If we start taking risks and making bold calls in 2027 then it’s already too late.
Wayne Smith's advice based on previous experience with a GS, is that you need to use the whole squad. I reckon by the Welsh test, there will be players who either haven't played or been given only a few token minutes.
The three games in a row theory?
The quote is, "Ted (Graham Henry) used to say three big performances in a row are impossible. We're always trying to prove that wrong. But he’s been pretty much on the button. It’s been tough through history to replicate great performances.”
That isn’t exactly saying players shouldn’t play three games in a row.
This team is struggling to put one big performance together at the moment anyway so I’m not sure the concept applies.

Whoever is persisting with picking over the hill guys like BB, whether it's Razor or someone higher up forcing his hand, they need to be binned. They are damaging our legacy
Who is above Razor that would force his hand. That sounds like something from the conspiracy theory camp. I mean surely that's an incredible insult to everyone involved in the game. I not just saying that because I think like it or not BB probably the right choice.....at this stage.

Has there been one great performance under Razor? Has there even been a game where we won all four quarters against a top team?

@game_film it is, lose this and we are on the back foot for the rest of.the tour.
-
I sense apathy from the coaches about losing to the Irish in Chicago, watch the “it’s just the first game of the tour” getting rolled out if that happens

Lose this and I think Razor and his Lieutenants should be sacked when they get home to NZ.
And I am deadly serious.
-
@bayimports the gaps closed, they are a quality side, anyone can beat anyone on thier day, they wanted it more.
Are the Irish still plucky?
We know it won't happen, but there should be enforced changes of the coaching team if we dont win at least 3 of the matches.
-
Please god let Wales be one of the wins

that would be so funny on one level.
And disasterous on another.

@nzzp beat Ireland, Scotland and England comfortably and lose to Wales...
betting probe into that one if that happens

Everyone is entitled to their opinion Dan. Here's mine: let alone the ABs, BB wasn't the best choice for his Super team. And in all honesty, I think he probably wouldn't have been the best choice for his NPC team this year either.

Insult? What's insulting to all that have supported the ABs or those who have worn the jersey is the way we have shat the bed so many times. Flogged by SA and losing to Argentina in the manner we did was an insult. DMac getting us to play with some semblance of fluidity and getting dropped? That's an insult
-
I'm strangely ambivalent about this. I just don't think we're going to improve until we get some competence in the backline attack coaching and fix the loose forwards.
