Whoever is persisting with picking over the hill guys like BB, whether it's Razor or someone higher up forcing his hand, they need to be binned. They are damaging our legacy

Who is above Razor that would force his hand. That sounds like something from the conspiracy theory camp. I mean surely that's an incredible insult to everyone involved in the game. I not just saying that because I think like it or not BB probably the right choice.....at this stage.

Insult? What's insulting to all that have supported the ABs or those who have worn the jersey is the way we have shat the bed so many times. Flogged by SA and losing to Argentina in the manner we did was an insult. DMac getting us to play with some semblance of fluidity and getting dropped? That's an insult

I'm strangely ambivalent about this. I just don't think we're going to improve until we get some competence in the backline attack coaching and fix the loose forwards.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion Dan. Here's mine: let alone the ABs, BB wasn't the best choice for his Super team. And in all honesty, I think he probably wouldn't have been the best choice for his NPC team this year either.

Beaudy was on a McCartney esque farewell tour for the last few years, where he tried but couldn’t hit the high notes.

But now he has morphed into modern day Bob Dylan. He charges a fortune and everyone himself included knows he won’t even try to play any of the hits.

Weird mood on the fern heading into this game. Doesn’t feel like it’s a do or die one

The concerning thing for me has been seeing the media reports and social media and looking at the extent of the social engagements.

Maybe I'm overreacting but it kinda feels like they are more tourists in Chicago and doing the promotional stuff than there to play rugby.

Ofc they aren't gonna spend 7 days locked in a hotel but it does seem like the promotion side of things takes precedence and it has me worried.

It's good that they got Richie and Dane Coles over there - I'm thinking all the ambassadorial stuff should be done by recently retired players so the squad can focus on the rugby.

You've just prodded a sacred cow on here. Time for me to grab popcorn, a deck chair and a cold one.

Conor Murray Made Bold Ireland Prediction For The 2027 Rugby World Cup | Balls.ie

Conor Murray has assessed Ireland's chances at the 2027 Rugby World Cup and he is more positive than most about the current's squad's prospects.

Audacious! A prediction they'll at least reach RWC SF! World history will be rendered asunder!
With that sort of expert Irish confidence this team of ABs are very much underdogs!

That sounds like something from the conspiracy theory camp.

The GM pro rugby, Chris Lendrum, has had a huge amount of influence on the way the ABs, and all the black teams, are organised; both players and coaches.
Ferners should start questioning his role in the current set up.

He's the one who controls the coach "selection" process.
Then makes the recommendation to the NZR board.
And he also signs all the players; so he his a big role in that "selection" process as well.
He'd be the one who decides who gets the max contracts.
It's been a bit shite for a while now, and Lendrum has been around for a while.

I take note of what happened at LSU in college football this week.
They fired their coach this week; $54 mil pay out!
The State Governor stepped in (technically the coach is a state employee) and demanded who the fuck agreed to that deal. Rather amusing.
The AD (same as GM) did the deal, he was fired the next day (with a $6 mil pay out).
So they got rid of their HC and GM in the same week.

Also the Miami Dolphins have been shite this year; they just sacked their GM.
Note, the GM was sacked before the HC (the coach will be next).

NZR is the opposite. IIIRC no AB head coach has been fired before his term was up

A $50 million dollar payout! Must be like the salary of at least 100 professors!

Not clear to me how ABs will use backline bench, absent injury. What would be trigger for bringing on DMac, and for whom?
And is Leicester injury cover or will he be primed to, say, replace Caleb at 60?

Just did my part for NZ rugby. No broadcasters in Canada have the rights for today's game - so the game is available as a PPV via the NZR app - $16.

When you look at it there are some fine players there. Lakai, Parker. Sititi, Savea, Carter, Clarke, Jordan. QT, JB.
We seem to be lacking in leadership and organisation.
    New captain?

This guy mentions a bunch of average players and doesn't even flinch at ignoring Roigard.

And we have the gall to call Robertson a shit selector.

    Half an hour to go.

I'm predicting an AB win by ten points.
