I can't believe there isn't a thread about this already ( actually I can believe it, no one likes the Scots )

Two really easy games ( on paper, it is Scotland remember ) vs the USA and Tonga and two much, much tougher ones vs Argentina and those other guys.

    https://www.theoffsideline.com/scotland-v-usa-townsend-backs-50-capper-van-der-merwe-to-have-a-big-season/

In typical Scots fashion they could and very likely will, shit the bed ( copyright @MiketheSnow )

    0 from 4 won't happen.

1 from 4 would be utter shit if one of those minnows gets up and wins.

2 from 4 is the absolute minimum, Scotland are a decent side.

3 from 4 would be awesome for them if they knock over one of the big dogs.

4 from 4 is as likely as 0 from 4.

Really good backline and serviceable forwards. I notice they recalled Magnus Bradbury who seems a bit Ardie Savea like in that hes good for a brainstorming run every now and again and apparently not much else.

A HUGE reliance on Finn Russell being mercurial and playing well.

Huw Jones being injured is a big loss.

There's no fear vs Argentina so that one is a bit of a coin toss. Literally, from 22 clashes they have won 11 a piece with no draws. Whatever happens there no one will be too surprised.

The history, as always, will be a massive burden vs the All Blacks. But the tightarse fluffybunnies certainly don't do themselves any favours by not touring here since 2000.

Selecting him to take on the ABs is a no brainer

@MN5 The way Scotland have been playing over the last few years and the personnel they have available now,
(OK mainly from RSA but still), Scotland should be aiming higher than 2/4 and expectations should mirror that.

Good luck to the Sweaties. (Not often I will say that, so cherish it).

Poor old Scotland can never do anything right.

The US might have liked a chance to repeat 2018 but 57 points might be a bit much to claw back.

85-0 now…great for a run out to blow off the cobwebs, but is the US defence what Scotland needed to prepare for NZ? We will see I guess.

    Dobie looks a talent

It finished 85-0. Scotland's third biggest win of all time.

Both starting wingers top Scottish try scorers of all time with 34 apiece.

Yes. With the right environment they could be world beaters. Too many sports vying for the dollar to grow what is essentially an amateur sport here.

Things ticking along 100% as I expected they would so far.

    Predictable thrashing of minnows USA.

Predictable gusty loss to the ABs ( seriously, fucken win a game in my lifetime you fluffybunnies )

Predictably unpredictable match coming up against Argentina but I'll still make a prediction. Home ground advantage, frustration at yet another close but no cigar loss to the ABs........I'm picking Scotland by 15 for this one.

That was a bad prediction. Was looking good until they gave up a lead worse than the ABs.

Townsend surely has to go, I see they've slipped to 9th in the rankings, even Fiji are ahead of them. That is shite for a team with some serious individual talent.

They'll hammer Tonga I'm sure then a likely mid to bottom of the table finish will come up in the six nations next year. Big games vs Italy and Wales could be more important than ever.

They can only play whats in front of them.

Two losses when they should have won at least one of them.

    Two predictable minnow hammerings.

They will beat Wales in the Six Nations next year. Guarantee it.
