Anyone been watching Luke Cage, the Jessica Jones spin off? I'm into episode three and still not sure really. It has it's moments and one or two good characters but I'm not sure if there's enough in it for a whole series, let alone further seasons.

Wasn't the whole idea to do a series each of Daredevil, JJ and Luke Cage to introduce them individually before they combine?

Yeah not sure what happened, JJ hasn't run this season at all...not sure I'll bother with Luke Cage though.

I've only watched one ep but it was OK. Has Juice from SOA and Sugar from Banshee so can't be all bad.
Nice cameo from Raphael Saadiq as well.

Was Raphael the singer in the club in the first episode?

    Yep

@Crucial He was pretty good wasn't he? They had a woman singer in the last episode I watched and she was bloody good too. Hoping this is a theme.

Series just finished in the UK was the excellent 4-part frame "National Treasure' starring Robbie Coltrane and Julie Walters. RC is an ageing TV star who is accused Rolf Harris style of sexually assaulting women when younger.
Well scripted and acted, kept the viewer in the dark and had you vacillating over whether he was guilty or not almost all the way.
    Well worth the time.

Anyone else watching the outsiders? It's ok but if you have trouble with some of the walking deads continuity gaffes the hillbillys wanting nothing to do with the outside world including cutting off the fingers of people caught with cash seeing them walking around in jeans etc, drinking beer from a can and having loads of gas for their quad bikes will irritate you.

I haven't seen it, but it sounds worth a look. Where's it set? The Caitlins?

The soundtrack has been great. The live performances at the club along with the backing has been a highlight.

Here's an article about iyt including a full track listing https://mic.com/articles/155950/luke-cage-soundtrack-here-s-every-song-from-the-show-broken-down-by-episode#.w1tMqfTi8

Didn't realise that every episode title is also the name of a Gang Starr song.

Been watching a BBC series called One of Us, only 4 eps - 2 families that live next to one another, their kids marry, and when back form honeymoon are brutally murdered...nek minut the murderer has rolled a stolen car and is on the family's farm injured, and no one seems to know why...

Am 3/4 through and is pretty decent, has the holes most ones of this genre have, but still keeping my attention.

I see they have made another series of The Fall, not sure where that will go, but I'll watch cos me likes Gillian Anderson.

I've just finished watching Season 4 Pt 1 of Vikings. It might not be 100% historically accurate but the show is great to watch with a good main cast.

It's a strange world when that level of graphic brutality can be aired on prime time

    :::

(uncensored shots of a barbed wire baseball bat being used to vaporise not one but two heads, Glenn's eye popping etc). Yet Abraham can only say "suck my nuts".

    Conservatives are weird.

Yeah that was pretty brutal alright.

I think it was obvious who one of the people it was going to be that met Lucille, but wasn't expecting
a second one as well, I thought that person was one of 3 I thought would get it, but thought it was only gonna be 1.

Thought Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan was brilliant in that ep too.

When he strapped the arm I had to switch off and take a second. That was absolutely sick.

Frye: Yep they can show people getting their guts ripped out and being hacked to bits, but will be banned if they dare show a boob or, god forbid, a vag or willy. It's beyond ridiculous.

    :::

Not the most dignified end for Glen was it. Bloody hell.

Have been watching "The Ranch" on Netflix as bubblegum for the eyes.
Actually has some funny lines in it. Ashton Kutcher and the smart mouth stoner from that 70s show as a couple of ranch boys in outback Colorado.
Stupid humor ala 2 and a half men but with swearing.
Jack Bauers daughter is in it and looks quite hot but the other young chick is smoking and gets down to her scanties often.

Finished Preacher, would highly recommend, stupid but fun viewing and some great characters - I'd describe it as Tarantino-ish. Ex bad-boy preacher in a shitty small American town struggles to bring God to the people.

One episode into Goliath (starring Billy-Bob), ex big-time lawyer ends up in a battle with his goliath old firm, chaos ensues. Seems excellent so far.

Also finished Quarry - fucking excellent I reckon and set up nicely for a second season, although no word on if there will be one. Again, highly recommend if only for the tunes.

As an aside, are there any decent series around these days without at least one Brit in a lead role?

@canefan Nah it's a lot more comical bro, based on a comic book or graphic novel I think. I like it better than Banshee - much less T&A though.
