@canefan fuck Lowe and Gibson P.they have huge chips on their shoulders.

I can abide JGP. He's a halfback and doesn't seem half as bad as the rest of the international peacocks. Lowe is Reece on chiefroids.

Overall a clunky game but always great to beat Ireland.

Fainga’anuku was very good. Plays direct and is hard to get to ground. The way Ireland defend you need that extra time on your feet to allow support players to arrive. Him and Clarke and also Quinn provide that.

Plenty of negative that no doubt will be highlighted, but happy to win and a shame we couldn’t get that last try.

I think we have to call it like it is. We are not very good. The coaching and selections are mental.

Mexteds infamous quote comes to mind.

We are like blind men in a brothel. Just groping.

It's not cohesive. Not authoritative. We dont have any players giving us 8/10 every week.

    Someone always saves our arse.

Who are the bona fide world 15 players in the squad. Jordie (at a push)?

The lack of strong game plan is making us much poorer than we should be

I thought they created space and attacking opportunities in first half but poor passing and lineout execution cost them.

Something clearly rotten in the coaching setup. Problem is they keep hacking off dead branches than examining the breakdancing root.

@canefan I disagree that there isn't a gameplan. I just don't think it is a very good one. Pretty much everytime the ABs get the ball, they look to go wide ASAP. When it works, it looks awesome, and we score great tries, but it is low percentage.

A win is a win. Peace out, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Frankly think it's better than that.

4 tries to 1. Against the 3rd ranked team in the world (by the worst All Black team in 50 years). Battled past stupid handling errors. Battled past injury so that our 4th and 5th best locks were on the field for most of the game. Disrupted midfield. And pretty much dominated the last 20mins.

    Tick. Job done.

Failure to create phases up the middle, and the narrow field, meant almost everytime we went wide we lost it

The attack lacks sharpness because BB receives the ball while standing still. DMac's arrival changed everything.

I didn't say we lacked a plan. We agree

Very Quade Cooper-esque, sometimes its sideways granted, but he is always in motion.

There's two 12s who play for SA alone who are better than him

At long last we were able to close out a game. And much of that was because we went up the guts and earned the privilege of going wide.

@kev The Kiwi-born Ireland players demonstrating the tendency of eager-to-please recent immigrants to ape and magnify the worst aspects of the host culture - in this case being obnoxious, petulant whingers with a built-in victim mentality

@booboo he got cut off by the dumb trophy lift and I gave up, but went in hard on Ireland - no excuses about when the game was played, lack of line breaks, phases, flowing rugby. Anyone who has been paying attention knows that has gone though and they’re a nation in decline.

Nothing beats a victory over a Irish side involving Sexton and now James Lowe.
