Penrith pick up Ale and Going from our ressies side
I bet they'll make stars out of them

Going looked good in NSW reggies final could be good pick
agreed, though he's 28 so obviously just never cracked top grade.

IIRC he retired from league and was playing club rugby in Northland when the NSW Cup team started up so he decided to give it another shot.

Fuck. Watch him win 2 rings at Penrith

Scoreline a fair reflection of the game. England are tough, and didn't allow Aussie to get a flow going. Didn't have enough on attack to trouble the Aussies though.
-
Ah fuck, forgot about this match before clicking on this thread. I guess I'll watch the rapid recap. That score seems crazy low, though the Roos would run up a big on in this match.
Think everyone assumes the same thing and u thought so too, but this English side, despite not having enough of an attacking game to beat the Aussies, sure do hit hard. They have some tough forwards.
They might even nab the 3rd test depending on what the Aussies do during the week.
The Dolphins have signed Morgan Knowles from that English team for next season. I think he'll go well down here.

I always thought Knowles played for Wales, a quick check of Google and it appears he used to. I don't know why for "Ashes" tours they don't play as Great Britain like they always did historically.

I was wondering the same thing.

Not sure if it was injury enforced, I only turned on for the haka.
I think keeping McLean at centre and Kris on the wing would have been better though. CNK looks as punch drunk at centre as he does at fullback.
18-0 to Kiwis with 10m to go to halftime.
-
26 - 8 to Kiwis. Some iffy reffing going on. As I think @mariner4life would say the ref is kissing Tonga on the dick.
-
40-14 final score.
Cracking performance by the Kiwis, smashed the continually overrated Tongan pack and carved them up in the backs.
Kini was great at the back. All the pack were good, bringing Whyte and Clark on from the bench is a luxury, and Tapine seemed to just hunt out defenders for contact.
Brown was great again, took over the high kicks and the Tongans struggled to tackle him, scored two tries. McLean is a gem, awesome he chose NZ despite being born and bred in Oz. CNK actually scored a try.
No Tongans to single out. Barely knew fatso Taumalolo was out there after the first 10 minutes, and AFB was completely out of sorts.
Embarrassing NZ fan turn out, we appear to be club over country when it comes to league.

Just seeing the Eli Katoa pre game hit. Given he looked all at sea while playing I’m calling negligence and coaches and doctors should be investigated

Unbelievable... No wait: totally believable.
