The 90's was not the greatest of eras for the BC. Had some seriously good players but over relied on Canterbury and Northern Districts from memory. Our depth certainly wasnt great back then either.
Not sure if it was our coaching but our results were pretty shit.
Hell we even lost to England at home around that time and they were shit in the 90's

A lot of guys retired from the 80s era, Crowe was shot on the injury front, and the next generation weren't quite ready at the time, so we had a lot of stop gap players.

We’re underway. Strong team, loads of batting. Nice to see the Neesh back in.

    Let’s give them a hiding

I love the dulcet tones of Ian Bishop in commentary.

Fantastic bowler in his day, had a few injuries though.

Jamieson's numbers in all of the shorter forms don't make for great reading, I am not sure he's that well suited to it. His FC and test record are out of this world though. We just don't play enough tests for him to be a specialist test bowler, but I am also not convinced he should be in the T20 team. He probably doesn't make the side if all our bowlers are fit though.

That was definitely out, it changed trajectory slightly after it hit his hand. It is a bullshit way to get out though.

Chasing a modest total of 165, none of our batters are finding any timing and making hard work of it.

    85/4 from 12.
Need 80 from 48 balls now

    on paper.

Bracewell goes with an even dumber shot than Mitchell. Ridiculous.

    This is trash to watch.
Look like a club presidents third XI trying to get bat on ball.

    Neesh holes out.

Surely game over now with the run rate as it is.

    102/8, and that’s bed time.

They should be bloody embarrassed with themselves.

Well a 23 run over helps just a wee bit but with 9 down it is still improbable.

Last over. 20 needed with one in hand. Santner has been sensational.

Does Shepherd play Rugby ? certainly wouldn't look out of place in a number 8 jersey.
