I was curious about that too. From the one article I read, they're trying to squeeze an extra spin bowling option into the team.

    Seems weird to me.

They've already got three world class spinners and two world class seamers.

They can't all bowl at once.

It's harsh on Kuldeep - but, it's hard to see how you justify him as the weakest batsman - even though he's a bit different (left arm wrist spinner).

Yeah I see Sundar bowled a total of 1 over in this match. Although he's on track to top score for India so maybe they do know something? He's looked pretty handy when I've seen him bat.

@Cyclops I wonder if he tends to thrive against spin? I haven't watched him enough to know really

Jadeja is a fabulous player, so all's not lost - but these two have to get them close.

    72 needed.

    75/6

    India need 49 runs.

    How badly injured is Shubman?

Surely you can take some voltaren plus and get out there?

    @Cyclops
Googling what they're saying about him - it doesn't seem life threatening.

It sounds a lot like what those of us who are a bit older deal with frequently - with Voltaren etc.

His coach should be reading him stories of Sutcliffe and Blair!

    And gone.

If Shubman was going to bat it would have been stupid to leave it till now, so I guess he won't.

I'm going to say that I honestly believe, if the Indians had put me in charge of selections and motivation - they would have won this test.

Looking at the wickets in India's 2nd innings, a couple of dick shots in there when they just needed to noodle it around for the runs.

    Suck it.

🏏Need to explain Test Cricket to a non-cricketing fan?❤️ 👂Get ready for the Ashes with this incredible description of the greatest game by @russellcrowe given to Joe Rogan in the US, we’re...

This is well worth a listen.

Russ has mellowed with age and is a great bloke when not throwing phones and being a cock.

Joe Rogan amazed and incredulous as only he can be and responding as all Americans do when confronted with cricket.

Russ explains things well although I don’t remember Martin Crowe being the Michael Jordan of cricket. Still, obviously very proud of his cousins and what they did.

Watching highlights now. Some good bowling from The Proteas on a pitch that had settled a little by the looks.

The shots from KL Rahul, Jurel, and Pant were unforgiveable. Jadeja not much better on defence.

I don't think the extra bay bat would have badges made a difference to the result
