Robertson isn’t going anywhere, NZ Rugby doesn’t fire coaches.

No they just undermine them and play footsy with the new hotness under the table.

I’m finding it hilarious that after all shit thrown at Foster to get Robertson the job, he’s been shown to be a much better Test coach than baldy.

Assuming the NZR grow a spine and hold the current coaches accountable for two years of poor results, who would you like to replace them?

To keep the options down, I just did pairs. Anybody missing?

Can I just vote any combo without SH?
Kinda don't mind any if the other options, so am not voting for any of the other options.

All would be better than present

    Dave Rennie.

He was Ted's suggestion to replace Steve Hansen and NZR ignored him.

    What's the source for that?

And, I feel obliged to say, fuck Dave Rennie.

    Why?

I would have thought you’ve been around enough for this to not need re-litigation.

Ran off to Australia to try coach them to beat us.

Fuck off to Scotland or Wales or even Ireland, but don’t try to win the Bledisloe for the enemy.

I'd forgotten it was something that silly. 😉

Oz are on a par with the the first two teams and I'd say we were lucky he didn't get Ireland but it's not like it mattered anyway.

You’re basically one of them anyway, so no surprise that you don’t find it offensive

I would be offended by this comment but it's so preposterous that it only got a little giggle.

Btw, I will admit that if he had stayed, they wouldn’t be as bad as they currently are. He did an excellent job with them in building depth for success.

And because all of this, he’ll never be an AB coach. Threw away his shot at really helping us out by taking on the enemy, where he was doomed to failure.

    That’s why fuck Dave Rennie.

Worth pointing out that most Australian supporters are as frustrated with Joe Schmidt's selections over the past six months as NZ fans are with Razor's selections.

Only two players have started in the 10 jersey under Razor's regime, whereas no player has gotten more than three starts in a row in the 10 jersey for the Wallabies this year (with Lolesio, Lynagh, O'Connor, Edmed and Gordon all getting runs, and Donaldson and Stewart covering off the bench). Injuries have played their part but still a bit of a shit show.

Tony Brown is kinda unavailable since he is coaching the Boks attack.

Of course he is available, at the right price

Rennie coached a Scottish club first, so no different to McMillan now, and numerous other NZ coaches who end up in Europe or Japan. There are only so many head coach positions available in NZ, and only one if you want to progress from SR.

Over 20% of NZ citizens dont actually live in their country.
Which is one of the highest rates in the world.
    Lots and lost of traitors.
Be an even higher % if you are only considering pro rugby coaches and players.

If we're going to buy Tony Brown out, why don't we buy Rassie out at the same time and have him as well? I'm quite in favour of this.

But, I'm a bit sceptical we can achieve this - so maybe we'd better just have Rob Penney.

Can't say I'm really in favour of this, but at least he's got a somewhat decent record in 2025.
