    @Gunner said in West Indies tour of NZ:

    My team, injury replacements in brackets;

    Latham
    Conway
    KW
    Ravindra
    Mitchell (Young)
    Blundell
    Phillips
    Santner
    Jamieson
    Henry
    O’Rourke (Foulkes)

    Is there room for both of Phillips and Santner ?

    plus is Phillips actually available ? Massive fan of his but Santner has improved at test level and then some. could be a tough decision.

    Phillips is fit and playing first class cricket.

    @MN5 I say yes.

    If we’re looking for a 6th specialist batter, he’s our man. Added bonus he’s got a bit of a golden arm as well.

    Hay and Phillips both with useful contributions in the plunket shield, Blundell not so much. Dunno how much that will influence the selectors or if they've already made their decisions.

    Lost the toss, we’re having a bowl.

    Foulkes and Duffy in, Smith (sore leg) and Tickner out.

    He'd be my favourite BC. Good at everything and his attitude is outstanding. Love watching him play.

    Again, depends if they go with him or Santner. I'd be surprised if both of them got in.

    Ian Bishop just said Napier was hot, isn't he from the West Indies ?

    He's bloody good value to listen to actually, passionate about his team but very professional and unbiased. I'm loving Wags as a comments man too.

    Windies 30-0 in the 4th over. Outfield very quick. Henry dished up a couple of tasty pies like he used to do more often.

    Ha. Wondered what the weather was for the cricket. Googled "Hamilton weather". Told me it was 26C at 80% humidity. Thought "fuck, that's uncomfy, more tropical than here...".

    Was Hamilton Island...

    Nice catch. Almost collided but Rigor coached them from the box and they got it haha.

    ( Quite funny, I guess you had to hear it )

    Yeah lots of time to overthink it and fuck it up. Well taken in the end.

    Batsman over thought that one.

    Play it or leave it.

    Can't do both.

    Currently 77/4. They might need a couple of retrospective reviews to go their way and to lift the run rate.

    Foulkes gets dangerman Hope out, very nice catch from Latham who has been tidy.

    Blundell isn't set in stone, could we see the test skipper make a late career change and slot in there ?

    Hope a big wicket although on their day a few can tee off successfully. Looks though the tron as a nz safe venue may strike again
