So that Melbourne cup race is coming up on Tuesday next week. What are our thoughts people?

Reckon hartnell could be a goer for this one but always find it a pretty tough race to pick

TAB Final Field Place now pays Top 3, rather than changing its rules depending on the number of runners.

JUst noticed another previous winner I had that was at about $4 for a place yesterday, is now $1.55 and $1.02.

If there have been scratchings between when you put the bet on and the start of the race, your dividend will be subject to deductions.

So if you get on fixed then horses drop out it's fine but if say 7 horse race form start I'd assume it's 2 place regardless or are fixed odds adjusted for small field 3 place from outset?

@JK one I got on @$6 had 2 scratched, 1 was probably a form horse, the other looked like it was no chance, I ended up just getting my money back.

It's three Final Field places paid out regardless of whether there were 8 or more or 7 or less acceptors for the race - just means the place odds will be pretty skinny.

I can guarantee that So It Goes was never ever trevor at $25 and $6 fixed. That was the tote odds you were looking it

He opened on Saturday at $4:80 fixed win and came in after the scratchings on the day.

Anyway, a really disappointing race. He gets one more go and then pin being pulled. Something has happened to that horse and we are in the dark on that. He was much better
