Fair to say the Summer on both sides of the Ta$man hasn't started well with dazzling opening partnerships.

I remember Shivnarine Chanderpaul and his weird stance.

    Definitely runs in the family.

Ball going past the bat plenty. Not catching an edge yet - apart from Campbell's.

Just have to be patient and keep putting the ball in the right spot

Finally gets the edge and Young puts it down! Much easier than the one he caught too.

A gun at ODI level but that's a really ordinary record for someone who has played 44 tests.

hmmm ok which of you guys are commenting over at cricinfo...

Howard: "Matt Henry taking the fielders out of the equation!!That aside, I find it interesting that Mitchell could not pass a fitness test to make this team, and now he's out there fielding. He must have been very close if he's now out there on the morning of Day 2? And so they didn't want to risk him? But now he's out there fielding..."

    fucking copy my remarks!

God I hate umpires call, if it’s hitting, it’s hitting.

That rule doesn’t make sense to me.

    no.

30 indicates a competent test batsman and even that should be a minimum for anyone decent.

Most teams would drop guys averaging under 30 but the Windies depth in this form of the game is paper thin so they keep getting selected.
