Chase looks like he could get the edge any at any time, he really throws the bat weirdly at the ball wide outside his body… not sure how to describe it, but it’s very different!

Jeez give him a break, poor guy hasn't even batted yet !

We really need another wicket before lunch. Feels like we’ve been way more on top than the 2 wickets show.

These two have toughed it out and starting to look a bit better. Just hit their first four.......

Maybe throw Henry at them before lunch ?

    Latham is keeping pretty tidily.

If he wasn't captain and opening batsman I wonder if they'd consider him for the next test if Blundell doesn't recover ?

Fairly sure Hay will make his test debut if that is the case.

Devon Conway. LVP. That was comfortable at this level.

God I hate umpires call, if it’s hitting, it’s hitting.

That rule doesn’t make sense to me.

there is a lot of uncertainty in the predictions. Like, a lot. Surveyors use lasers and fixed spots to get within a few millimetres - so some cameras set up 40 m away will always have some error.

The error obvoiusly drops the closer you get to the stumps - but I think it's not unreasonable. The purpose of DRS is to eliminate howlers - so it does that.

Yeah - you've got to catch that - and especially when you've already dropped an albeit harder one.

Into the last over now. This has been a pretty rough session for us. 3 dropped catches, an umpires call gone against us plus a lot of playing and missing.

Hopefully the catching improves next session. We've kept things tight thought so the two wickets we have got are probably enough for us to have shaded the session but game is still wide open.

I never thought I'd see the day that former pie afficianado Matt Henry ended up with a better bowling average than Boult, Wags and Southee......but here we are.

He's at his home ground, time to have a good lunch, come out firing and get it even better.

Make the fielders stay out all lunchtime for catching practice

DRS does its job. Hope gloves one to Latham off Duffy.

Henry gets Chase for a duck. Good catch from Latham. Windies 106/4.

Bang, bang Hope and Chase go in quick succession. Likely to happen with this Windies line-up, but we certainly needed it.

Now we need Chanders Jr. quite quickly, as well.

Roston Chase is a passable 7 or a really good 8. Badly miscast at 5. Greaves the same.
