Happy for Roach, well deserved 5-for

Yep, nice to see some genuine emotion there, he was thrilled.

One of his generations better pace bowlers. 5th on their all time list !

Glenn Phillips in as a substitute fielder. Can't think of anyone better.

Chanderpaul looks a candidate for lbw - if Foulkes can get it very full and swinging.

As a former opening batsmen and wicket keeper, I hate to think how sore Latham is going to be after this test.

Alec Stewart may have been the last guy to open, captain and keep all in the same test ?

Michael Bracewell with the break through !!!!!! Windies 55/3. Only 476 to get so way too premature to start celebrating just yet.

So Nathan Smith not at the ground and sounds like Henry is playing through a niggle too. Are we going to run out of bowlers here?

Henry has gone for a scan at the hospital apparently.

Look like we’ll need Jamieson next test and maybe time for Sears to stop fucking around in Melbourne club cricket.

    Who else is there?

    Tickner.

Ravindra needs to turn the arm over more too.

Windies often don’t need much to fire them up, one good partnership and an injury hampered bowling attack could lead to an unthinkable record, one of which NZ needs not to own another…

    Wicket please fluffybunnies

212/4 at stumps. Good resistance from Greaves and Hope. But being two bowlers down really hurts. A real test of Latham and the coaching team's ability to improvise. Conway has a couple of FC wickets bowling medium pace, might be worth a go.

Imlach looked handy and Roach showed good application in the first innings, I don't think we can assume one more wicket and it's into the tail.

Good thing, especially given injuries, that the Black Caps avoided the temptation for a bold declaration...

That's true but they also don't need much to make them collapse in a heap.

    That tail looks pretty weak.

The most oustanding teams I can think of ( 80s Windies, 2000s Aussies ) never had a true all rounder.

    Carl Hooper?

Na, he was a batsman who bowled pretty well at times.

    Sangakarra?

Edit: genuine question. Don't know if he was skipper?
