Can't see them bringing in Jamieson, unless by chance the timing works out for whatever his bowling loads/plan is from rehab.

Yeah but does that mean they go for ANOTHER newbie ? Surely this is SOS time.

Lets not forget the four pacemen in this test have played a combined SEVEN test matches between them.

BIg onus on the BCs to bat all day and then some. Those bowlers will need a rest and hopefully Mitch and Ravindra are turning the arm over while waiting to bat as they will be needed.

If they think there's a risk of breaking Jamieson again, then Kristian Clarke is probably making his Test debut

Based on that he'll never play again !

Well yeah, it's gone from "only the Windies" to "Fuck we need him" pretty quick smart.

And maybe by the third Test he is deemed ready (or not) depending what plan the docs have him working to.

I'd guess what they might have an eye on is getting dragged into something like the fourth innings slog in Christchurch, which is much easier to manage in Plunket Shield.

Given his history (if they hold him back), so that they don't play him for one game and then lose him for another six months for all formats...

Happiest person on planet will be Mini Steppa if Jamieson does play (favourite player).

There are a couple of posters that know much more about bowling loads etc than I'm aware of though.

Are you going to the 3rd test Mr Steppa? My current plan is to attend on Friday - 2nd day.

@KiwiPie I'll definitely be there on the Saturday with my keen opening bowler in tow. Hopefully on the Friday for the final session - will aim to catch up on the bank.

Excellent from Roach. Bowls Latham for 11.

Conway looking decent at the other end. Bishop talking up Roach, saying he has KWs number !

Edges a boundary to get off the mark. Slightly streaky.

That was a great delivery to get rid of Latham.

Yeah, Roach is a trooper. The Cricket fan in me hopes he gets 300 wickets, just not this series !

Shields is doing his best Coldplay impersonation out there with the bat.

Coldplay could probably jump on the East by west to throw down some overs when we need him.

Bit further for him to go now. He's stepped 'up' to being the owner-operator of New World Taumarunui. I assume he's moved there too.

    Ah fuck !

KW doesn't get out for 37......this isn't to script.

Hell of a delivery from Philip, clean bowled just before lunch.

Williamson bowled by another pearler of a delivery.

    Bugger, just before lunch too.

Given that we made virtually identical posts I'm sure you'll agree that there is no Bazball type irresponsible shit happening here. Both balls to dismiss Latham and KW have been absolute beauties.
