West Indies tour of NZ

What a review haha, I mean he had to given the game state, but it simply doesn't get even a millimetre more plumb than that

@MN5 Rae went down in pain, but is made of tougher stuff and has run it off. Given his age and unlikely to play much once others return from injury, he'd probably bowl with a broken leg if it meant he could snare another test wicket.
Yeah he won't play another test after this one, hopefully he can survive the last day.
Even so, draw looking bloody likely here. The Windies have no batting superstars, most of them aren't even test standard on paper but NZs fill in attack won't be good enough to knock them over.
I’m glad this post appears to have aged poorly

Did I think we would win after yesterday.. no
Well done Black Caps
Many records falling but winning is the best one -
Perfect finish to the series from Duffy, hitting the top of off stump to win the match. Man of the series for me, so far ahead of any other bowler. Loved Conway's return to form as well though.

Umpire signaled one bouncer for the over lol
Patel was signalling to the umpire before that. I think he was keen to register he could bowl a bumper.

Duffy for me.
Interestingly, Rachin averages 100.66 for the series. Conway 90.4; Latham 71.16; Hay 61 ; and Little Kane 46.25.
Duffy takes 23 wickets. Rae next best with 8. Ajaz 6 and Tickner and Foulkes 4 apiece.
Ravindra had a few not outs to help his average.

Latham with 3 test Centuries and Captaining the team to a 2 -0 Test Series should also be in the mix for Man of the Series.
Duffy also leading the attack should in the mix.and keeping at a pinch too ! completely forgot his first ton.........
But there were quite a few good batting performances but taking wickets wins matches, would have to be Duffy now I've thought about it.
Black Caps top five is absolutely set in stone barring injury.
Hay should replace Blundell. Whether he will is at the whim of the selectors.
Phillips wasn't hugely compelling in terms of batting and bowling, sort of went ok, absolutely dynamic fielding though, will be interesting what happens when Santner is fit. Bracewell will only get a look in if those two are both broken.
Duffy as others have mentioned has to be considered for when everyone is available, particularly with the injury prone nature of the others.
Smith and Foulkes a bit meh. Neither took their chances for a big performance.
Rae filled in admirably.
Tickner bloody good until injured. He'll be back.
Nice to see Patel get wickets at home as yet another bowling option.

Yeah I have no issue with that Duffy has been a big contributor but I just wanted to keep Latham's name in the frame 3 centuries in a 3 test series is a big effort and not a common thing, a century 50 % of the time you bat in a series needs to be recognised.

Totally fair, he had a huge series.
Conway had a poor first test but certainly made up for it in the next two. But those guys are already well established. Duffy might not have played at all if it weren't for all the injuries. If you bear that in mind and how he went he did amazingly.

I wonder if that was Ajaz Patel's last hurrah? 37, no sub continent tours this year. He's played in England before so maybe he gets a call up for that, and he's up to 91 test wickets (at a shade under 30 - very impressive!)
Vettori will always have the tag for our best spinner, but a lot of his value was that you could rely on him to be effective in our conditions plus the additional skills he brought. As an out and out attacking spinner he was pretty limited (a big part of that was the early back injury that forced him to remodel his action).
If we were playing on a real spinning wicket, I think Patel is probably close to our all time XI.

He's a spinner, he's barely played. He could continue until he's 40
