This is the clearest indictment of Chelsea's managerial woes:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calum_McFarlanePast interims/caretakers were Ray Wilkins, Steve Holland, Graham Rix and the like..... This lad has never coached or assisted at senior professional level. A non league/underage coach.
How do you even get to the point where this is the calibre of coach you have in charge for a Premier League match v Man City? They want supplicant yes men, they have gutted the club of everyone with tenure, who knows Chelsea and the game. This is one step above having the kitman in charge.

Cherries 1 up v Arsenal.
An entertaining game. Bournemouth are a difficult team to play, and you know there will be goals - at both ends.

at least we dont play boring football no wins in 11 though which isnt good but Arsenal were too good on the night

Ruben Amorim has been sacked as Manchester United manager. No surprise after his recent comments to the press.
-
An awful appointment who shouldn't have gotten the job in the first place.
-
Both Maresca and Amorim's outbursts about the respective clubs have been rather damning.
Maresca will come again I feel, unsure if Amorim will however. Amorim just screams AS Roma as his next club or something before sliding down the ladder.
-
Darren Fletcher, an ex Man Utd player, an Alex Ferguson favourite (a teetotal Scot) and their Under 18 Head Coach, has been appointed in charge for the Burnley game on Wednesday.
Then they will appoint an interim Manager until the end of the season. Gareth Southgate's allies seem to be touting him for that position, but I suspect it will be Fletcher.
-
Seems like the time is now for high profile clubs sacking their managers with Wilfred Nancy been shown the door at Celtic after 33 days.
-
Funny how Jason Wilcox is a main player at man united.
Was most known for being a winger at Blackburn in his playing days, never would have picked him to be someone who went into the coaching/admin side of things.
It's funny how the most random of people (in all sports) end up in positions of power. People you would least suspect based in their playing career.

Great players generally don't make great managers or GMs

Fuck.
Recognised the name, but bever crossed my mind it was one and the same.
Same thoughts. -

Liam Rosenior has confirmed at press conference in Strasbourg that he will be Chelsea's next Head Coach and that he will be in charge for their FA Cup game against Charlton on Saturday.
Interesting now that Chelsea always look for up and coming managers as opposed to established managers.
Will we see Man U go down the same road?
-
@canefan Former Assistant Manager and Interim Manager at Derby, former Manager at Hull and Strasbourg (which is owned by Chelsea's parent company). He used to play at Hull and Fulham and did some punditry work for the BBC.
I'd never heard of him until a few days ago. He's regarded as a young and upcoming manager, but this is a big leap up for him.
He's never managed in the EPL before and his teams have never won three games in a row before.
-
@African-Monkey The speculation is that Manchester United are already in conversation with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about a return to the club.
-
Desperation appointment. Trying to make a Mourinho 2 out of him.
Can't see it working.
Garnacho aside, I actually really like our squad. The problem with it, is that only Reece James is playing even close to his potential. Fernandes is at about 65%, the rest are sub 50%. I didn't agree with selling Madueke and he is thriving at Arsenal.
-
The thing I really don't get about the Rosenior appointment is them giving him a six and half year contract.
The last Chelsea manager to last four years was John Neal who left in 1985. The last Chelsea manager to survive six seasons was Dave Sexton in 1974.
All of Chelsea's coaches since 2019 have lasted less than 18 months.
Why set up an expensive payout?
