Yeah gutted for him. I’d maybe would have slightly preferred Godfrey if he was fit based on what we saw last year but surely Love gets the nod now.

This is great news. I didnt have much faith in Laidlaw to make this call. I would still have Cameron on the bench if hes performing, he can be a good game closer with his skillset

I havent seen Harkin play 10 since Lions 24 season - they need to figure out what they are doing with him. Cameron definitely a better 10 based on performances to date. Love/Moorby covers 15. Cashmore's signing would almost suggest they see him as more of a 10 than Harkin

It's already been confirmed above that it's Cam Roigard.
I reckon signing the best halfback in the world (f u Dupont), through until 29/30 is nothing to be sniffed at. I'd take it any day of the week.

@DurryMexted Agree. Harkin named as a first five in the 2026 squad and he offers versatility from the bench. 15,14,11, 10 or even 9 if Canes wanted to carry a 6th forward.

Everyone's hoping for Love but I guess we'll probably know by the makeup of their pre season sides.
It will be interesting to see what the Canes do while all the other teams play rugby in round 1.
