Neither NZ team made the SFs. The Men lost 24-7 to the Ravuka Sharks in the QF, the beaten finalists. The Women were beaten 38-19 by Briars (Aust).

Nothing has really changed despite some new players. NZ has gone away from the power game but lacks speed when in space.

Probably not. There is no provincial sevens tournament now. Manson was in the NZ Dev team that went to to Fiji a few weeks back.

I haven't seen a list of unavailable players, which is normally published when the touring squad is announced.
