    ?

"Working class" Brits with a chip on their shoulder have this idea in their head that posh-piston wristed gibbons, toffs, London-types, suits, rugby-followers - you know, that sort - wear brown shoes/boots.
    It's rather odd.

Cheers. I thought there would be some sort of British explanation.

Hopefully my sides stop aching soon.

I've pretty much bought exclusively brown boots since discovering this, BTW.

This fact is considerably funnier than the meme

I've never heard of that in my time here. I've rocked up to twickers enough times to know the picture is accurate though. Just missing the flat cap and scarf.

As long as the plastic Scot and the wannabe yank don't understand, I feel good about it.

I prefer the term "kilted kiwi". I reckon it'll catch on.

England U20s came back from a 16-0 half time deficit to beat Wales 19-16

Very good match to watch despite the conditions

    England never gave up

Wales had the chances to win but weren't accurate enough

Oh what I'd give for a 3 point defeat today!

Don’t want to hear anyone try to tell me how good this comp is. Oh the tradition, oh the history, oh the pageantry.

Nowhere near the quality of the RC. Autumn Internationals much more interesting.

Haven't seen a huge deal of Pollock. Lots of highlights reels with stepping and kicks. Is he the real deal or basically a white Ardie Savea ?

The most I've seen of him is him congratulating himself exuberantly for doing what half a dozen other blokes on the pitch have already done before him, so hard to say.

That's great, I asked about Pollock though.

He has shaky hair, that's all I've noticed.

    Agree.
It is a bit better than it was, but I still have not paid much attention to it since the 1980's.
    A NH cash cow.

Going to Twickenham, Cardiff, Murrayfield or Paris for one of the 6N games on a glorious spring day and then having several beers afterwards with the fans from both teams who were playing is one of life's great experiences. Long may it continue.

I haven't been to been to a match in Rome yet.

And yeah, I think the 6N tournament should start a month later than it does.

    Rome

Went to an AB game there, epic. Way better than any time I've been to twickers. Proper carnival atmosphere before and after, outside the stadium is fantastic.

But maybe I was influenced by being able to get a porchetta baguette from the van on the way in.
