Methinks, Fitzgerald has got a touch of the bitter lemons and revelling in the fact that he can have a controversial pop now as he seeks to become a pundit for the sports tv stations. Hasn't a patch on Darcy for analysis and writing.

Just alluding to the fact the irish seem to have gone from plucky celtic triers ( like the good old Scots will always be ) to self entitled whingers in the space of a decade or two.

On Kaino I think it's more about knowing he can go for 80 at a high level but still not sure about whether PT can. So Kaino's the insurance.

I think you'll be very surprised to know I agree with him. Its pathetic, giving Bent a jersey when he got off the plane is the sort of thing you'd expect of a rugby power on a par with Scotland and the project player scheme deserves every bit of scorn anyone gives it.

Yep I remember that test vs the Boks. We drew it and I think that was the start of some calling for Stephen to never be selected again.

To defend the NZ Herald (just this once!) that stat is taken from the NZRU press release of the naming of the team.
