@mariner4life id prefer that.....i think mine has a tiny bit.....
-
got in eventually....didn;t get ones for AB's v Aussie in sydney but got some ones in melbourne....even got overly keen and had a look at the final but only cat 1 at $2k a pop left by the time i got there
-
didn't get in, canned it.
-
was only the re sale so thinking more will be released...but even AB's v Hong kong was down to cat 1 at $425 or cat 6 at $65
-
I thought this was buying a chance in a ticket lottery, not actual sales.
So perhaps those peeps who forked out the $750 to get in early swooped up all the tickets.
Was hoping to get to the Sydney game then on to Melbourne the following week. Just got the second leg. But upgraded to Cat 2. So that's cool.
And one at Brissy for shits and giggles, Sweaties v Geezers, on a Sunday afternoon.
Neither BNE round of 16 were available. And yeah ... neithwr was the Final.
So instead of basically $3K of tickets spent less than a grand.
A couple of things:
-
the status bar went supercharged after 4pm our time, which I reckon was all the Sydneysiders shutting down and going home. But then when I was leaving I couldn't use the code to transfer devices, so left my laptop on in the car on hotspot, whilst racing the status bar home ...
-
don't like the first in best dressed methodology. Assumes we all have ready access to a device at 11am (AEST) and the opportunity to sit next to it watching.
Overall am a bit disappointed but not completely devastated.

Right, missus managed to get 2 games for me in Perth. Samoa v USA and South Africa v Romania.
Now my turn to try my luck.
-
It’s a much worse process than 2003, 2007 and 2011. I haven’t been to the more recent RWCs so unsure if this process is similar.
I liked the option previously where you could buy a team pack or a city pack where you either picked all a teams pool games or all a city’s pool games and for each of those purchases you got bids for Qtrs and Semis etc.

Got tickets to both round of 16 games and the All Blacks v Chile.
I think that's enough rugby tickets for the next little while.

yeah, we had city pack for 2011 before the earthquake knocked that on the head so was looking to do the same for melbourne but only individuals avaliable, i assume prices are similar to the last few years....looks like i'll be watching the final down the put or clubsrooms

Looking at the scraps this morning, not much left. This made me laugh though:
QF1 Cat A (sold out) tix are $890. OK, fine, it's an expensive event.
Then there is a class called Union Bar - which appears to be basically Cat A tix, plus 4 hours of food and booze.
$3k each
Who is paying that??? $2k = $500/hr for beer and street food, mental.
