    Aweful awful person.
No wonder he died broke and at only 40.
Still you would think Jonah would have learnt after the previous couple of wives.

just thought I'd let you know I got to spend a few hours with him this morning on invited ride up the waitaks and coffees after... likes riding bikes, drinking beer and playing golf... yeh probably a prick to some people in the past.. isn't it time to move on? Was a fucking amazing experience - only cause i've been idolising him for like 20 years but each to their own I guess.!

funny Cameron Brown supposedly copping a bit of shit about riding with him, they were discussing on RS thios morning and the feedback was pretty split with some saying cheat, liar etc, while the other half seemed be like @WillieTheWaiter

As someone who doesn't follow cycling I do find it odd people hold such a grudge for him

There's two things about Armstrong - people either don't like him because he doped and they felt cheated when they found out, or secondly because he was a prick to people that tried to take him down.

The doping thing I have no issue with - because doping has always been a part of cycling since the beginning of cycling. He didn't make it any worse, he just did what everyone did when they were riding. I kind of look at it like drink driving in the 70's - you knew you probably weren't supposed to do it but everyone did it and that's just how it was. Cultures take a long time to change.

I find it utterly ridiculous that he was doing exactly the same as everyone else in the sport but he gets a life time ban and everyone else got a slap with a wet bus ticket. In fact I'll go ever further and say I respect him for refusing to rat out his mates like Johan Bruneel etc..

As for being a prick to people - I guess I couldn't give a shit about that because I think the whole 'He ruined peoples lives' is so fucking over dramatized it's ridiculous. At the end of the day pretty much the worse thing that happened is these people lost their jobs. But you know, if you think losing a job is your life ruined then you've got a thin skin. I saw Swarts life had 'been ruined' and I'm like whatever - you retired, moved back to nz and run a successful business. Just a media beat up that many haters like to jump on board with.

I tell you what does actually ruin lives - cancer. But somehow the good work on that front where he has provided inspiration to literally thousands of people, along with the millions he raised isn't allowed to count because he treated a handful of people badly. Who he's apologised to...

Only person who hasn't accepted that is Betsy Andreu. But you know what - she can get fcuked if I was Lance I would be pi$$ed with her still too. But yourself in the situation where you're laying in bed with cancer with a low chance of living, you tell doctors some info not really caring who hears and hey it's your best mate who's doing the same sh*t as you.. and his wife takes that info and gives it to your mortal enemy.. yeh I think you'd be lying if you wouldn't be pi$$ed about that (maybe it's just me - i know i can hold grudges - it's a croatian thing 🙂

anyway it's sh*t that happened 10 years ago - i just can't understand why people can't give up on it.

And this is not how to take an awesome photo. Had a stupid look on face all day and the half thumbs up really not working!..

TBH looks like WTW wants to take a massive dump and is trying to pretend nothings going on.

                          Maybe Lance is very giving

@MajorRage yeah that's the one. I think I posted a link to it a while ago . He seemed like he'd learned a bit about life since he took a massive kicking in public .
Speaking of which he did one last weekend with James Hetfeild who seemed like he had his shit together far more than he did when they made that embarrassing doco . Sobriety appears to agree with him.

I was shocked when he got busted , not because he was doping ,more that people were so surprised , I wasnt 100 % certain he was , but I more than strongly suspected it ,

Just like I do now with the biggest name in sprinting. .

What I don't like about Armstrong is not so much the doping...it's the fact he actually sued people for libel when they claimed he was doping...

Also he was the poster boy for giving cancer sufferers hope, that chance to do some good is gone.

Speaking as a drug-using cyclist, my issue with him isn't as he is a cheat, a liar, a conman, a hypocrite or a spandex wearer. It is because of the documented next-level cuntery towards anyone who accused him of any of the above. One of the biggest fluffybunnies ever in my humble etc.

I've got no time for him.

                                          Oh sure he helps Cancer.

Ironic when you think he was up to his neck in a system he helped perpetuate that required you to ingest carcinogens to be able to compete at sport.

That's my biggest issue with drug cheats.
