A part of me certainly thinks that Ms. Lomu deserves the right of reply before all 'n sundry come down very hard on her.

Having said that, it certainly looks bad. And all the money given to the Jonah Lomu kids fund, should really be spread around all needy kids. Having a famous Daddy, shouldn't immediately give you the right of a more beneficial life than having a scumbag for a Daddy.

Fuck all kids in this world have a trust fund of any note. I was given $500 by my parents on my 21st, and that was about it for me. So people who gave money to that, were fucking idiots to start off with. Between grandpops wheeler dealing & undoubtedly some outstanding royalties for guest speaking etc, there was more than adequate dosh around to give those boys the start in life that they needed.

In the meantime, as all this was kicking off, thousands of kids across NZ were going hungry, living in substandard conditions, and failing to get the medical attention required for even the most basic conditions.

The whole thing was BS, right from the start. The fact she drives a Porsche should surprise nobody.

Or a really really good daddy who isn't multi-millionaire but works super damn hard in a physical labouring job 6 days a week 8-4 but is on a minimum wage and can't afford a Porsche.

Couldn't find the old RIP Jonah thread on the new forum.....but this is a shocker

Nadene Lomu is driving a $75,000 Porsche - at the same time the trust set up in her husband Jonah's memory was in London trying to raise money to help the couple's sons.

There's no way anyone can put a good spin on this. However I don't believe she can be this simple/naive/greedy/irresponsible. Surely not.

She's had massive negative publicity and I can't think she's oblivious to this. There's a stability issue here I am sure. Depression, anxiety, something. For gods sake where are Jonah's friends and supporters to help this woman ?

Blowing the last of his life's saving/work into a property scam involving his wonderful and loyal father n law wouldn't have helped either.
Aweful family who are in a mess because of their greed and Jonahs naivety.

              Scam? Why bother with property?

If Jonah was still worth a bit, surely they could have picked up a couple of investment properties in Auckland and lived off the rental income?

Yep nothing wrong there, I mean it's normal right for your in laws to sell a property with a heavily marked up price? To make $700k off you
                  Because that's what family does.

Yeah , check the date too. Right at the start of the property market turning to shit.

Forget in laws. Some athletes are misfortunate enoguh to have the scam artists be their own parents.

The Bible says, "Don't pass judgment on other people, or you might get judged yourself."

Even if you already HAD the Porsche, surely it makes sense to sell that thing and buy a sensible car?

Otherwise, a person would seem more worried about their image than their finances.

If you put out the begging bowl and then buy a Porsche, continue living in some of the most expensive real estate in New Zealand, attempt to invalidate your husbands trademarks for murky reasons then funnily enough, people will have an opinion about you.

Even if you already HAD the Porsche, surely it makes sense to sell that thing and buy a sensible car?

Otherwise, a person would seem more worried about their image than their finances.

And it's an extremely impractical car for children (assuming it's not that ugly SUV they make)

Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure they had the SUV version, but that was last year (or maybe the year before). Not sure if thats the new one they got.
