Three names that I have come across in the last few years that make the child in me giggle are Anil Baldeep and the surnames Khunt and Weedick.

@MajorRage Sum Ting Wong was an aircraft engineer. Always showed up when a flight was delayed.

Fanny Pong doesn't need explanation (not heard that one). Yes, too many to name.

Chewbacca Hung. Superb, although it does make him (assuming a him?) sound like a big hairy dick (that moans a lot).

@Snowy He worked in the IT department at a bank I used to work at. Also in that department, and I swear I'm not making this up, were Hercules, Baron & Sith.

In amongst a thousand Kennys & Kelvins, of course.

Who on earth would call themselves Baron?

@Bones O.K, that should be "with a pilot" but why is it showing off?

It wouldn't be quite the same as Jack Sparrow without the "Captain" - hence the pilot addition. I could change it to make him a sailor if you like? (but it wouldn't be true, although that won't matter on TSF).

So just for you - he was a ship's pilot and guided ships into port.😄

@Bones O.K. he was a pirate (not a pilot) it was all of the time he spent in Asia that meant that he had a Chinese accent that led to a misunderstanding of his occupation, and he stole ships not guided them into port. Oh, and he was drunk.

Another couple of posts and I will have met the actual character out of a movie rather than someone that I knew. This bloke is far more interesting than reality.

@dogmeat He was quite large - unlike Johnny Depp.

So what was your Chinese name?

When I was a Corp account manager for telecom we dealt with Ray White as a client. There were a lot of Chinese agents who, stereotypically, whinged about every cent they had to part with but one bloke had a first name of 'Yu' so whenever I rang him he answered 'You're with Yu'.

Pretty amusing. Unsurprisingly he was a successful agent.

Having watched my wife have 2 kids, I do find these "I didn't know I was pregnant' almost impossible to believe.

Tough start to life for Hannah-Marie Crofts-Wilson. Absolute fluffybunny of a name she has there too. Gonna be royally fucked trying to fill out immigration cards for her annual piss trip to Bali.

Well feral is as feral does, one of the less believable parts of the story is that she didn't usually eat KFC and stopped drinking beer.

@Snowy When I taught in Taiwan some of my cherubs included Apollo, Prince, Q-Bee, Mermaid, and Racer. Another teacher had a Free Pizza (cos everyone loves free pizza.)

I had at least one Apple in every class.

Knowing someone well who genuinely didn't know they were pregnant, I was as surprised as you when it happened.

Slim lady, 7-8 months prego, not showing (I last saw her the week before she popped). Went to hospital with abdominal pain, and you can guess the rest

She's a sane, normal, intelligent person, finished her degree, married the father (already a long term relationship) and it's all worked out well. Kid happy and healthy, with an interesting backstory 🙂

It does happen. I've known the person for 20+ years, and believe her when she says she didn't know she was pregnant. Feel sorry for dad though - wound up being called to the hospital as his girlfriend was admitted, and then directed to the maternity ward.

People are skeptical, but from a data point of '1', it does happen to normal people.
