Is the CW series canon? I recall Annakin dueling with Dooku which doesn't tie in with Ep3 at all.

Yep, and they did a great job of making Anakin's fall make sense. If only these writers had their hands on the movie scripts.

Just checked this and you are 100% correct. That also means that all that stuff with him and the Mandalorians is also canon. Look I get why they wanted to bring him back. He's farking cool and Lucas stupidly "killed him off" way too early. But dammit, he was cut in half and then fell hundreds of metres. Bringing him back is really weak.

Thing is when I first saw the trailers for ep1 I thought Maul would go all the way to ep3 and be a constant thorn in the side of the Jedi. He was a fan favourite even BEFORE anyone saw the film. As much as I admire Chrstopher Lee, Dooku was a pretty lame character. Stupid name as well.

All Lucas had to do was have Obi-wan kick Maul into the shaft and leave his fate up in the air, but no he had to slice him in half.

Are you fucken kidding me? Dooku was an awesome character although much of that is down to Lee as an actor.

Darth Maul is way overrated. One dimensional in the extreme....and lost to a padawan.

Maul was just guilty of hubris. After all he'd just killed a Jedi master and legend.

I forgive you for confusing Christopher Lee the living legend with Dooku the not very good character.

Maul wasn't what the story needed in a villain though. Dooku was closer.

I was referring to Christopher Lee.

It did irk me that Dooku never realized Palpatine was going to betray him.

According to Star Wars nerd theories Palpatine, Dooku, Yoda and Made Windu were the best swordsmen in the galaxy.

Dooku did seem a bit of a fortuitous catch for Palpatine. He spends years training Maul. He gets killed, but luckily enough he gets in the ear of former Jedi and separatist sympathizer Dooku.

Is Darth Rage canon or was that just book stuff. I think Po Kloon knocked him off.

Darth Jar Jar would've been even better if Lucas held his nerve after the first movie got panned.

Crap scene IMHO. Not sure how a tub of lard like that could get the jump on Rey then defy the laws of physics in losing an arm to Chewie. I assume his species is really brittle?

No it doesn't. She beat a severely injured, half trained Non-Sith. One injured by a gun they spent the whole movie showing how powerful it was.

@MN5 I assume it's because compared with mere mortals he's a machine ... but we know that Rey is going to have uber midichlorians explaining why she can figure out how to tell James Bond to let her out of the torture chair and then put up a fight against Kylo Ren.

You could be right and you probably are its just him disagreeing with General Hux just seemed like a couple of EMOs arguing.

He is certainly no Moff Tarkin that's for sure.

@MN5 The Force Awakens is like Star Wars: The Younger Years with a younger version of Vader and Tarkin ... clearly thats what those two would have been like in the early days of the Empire.
