What are you listening to, right now................

@Bovidae yeah they were openers for the angels along with shihad.
Do you remember Gaelforce with Gail Ludlow who was the straightest tv presenter in tv1 and turned out to be a singer in a metal band? They toured with Knightshade sometimes I think.
-
@jegga I probably saw Gaelforce too but I'm not 100% sure. Hamilton had plenty of rock/metal bands in the late 1980s-early 1990s so the list is long.
Knightshade played their farewell gig on the same night as the Super final last year. Gael was back to perform with the band. She can still sing.

@Hooroo REally? Awesome.
Found out wolfmother is opening for GnR in singapore ... not sure I'll be in a hurry to get to that concert early.
EDIT - just looked it up .. it's The Darkness. Old School, again!
Yes! That's right ha ha! That would be a sweet concert.
I'm kind of looking forward to seeing Wolfmother live as I like a few of their songs/
I saw Wolfmother at the Bluesfest in Byron a few years back and they were really good. They're not like most of the bogan bands that feature in this thread.

Iggy Pop like so many other punks of his generation has always stood out to me as being a genuinely talentless fuck who struck it incredibly lucky with a couple of catchy songs.
Hanging out with David Bowie in Germany for so many years would have had to help him too

Listening to an old CD from early 2000's. Was tossing up between this song, or "Get your biscuits in the oven and your buns in the bed"

never did get into Iggy’s music, even the Stooges somehow missed my wheelhouse back in first consciousness days but that said, haha look at all the grandads in this thread, I’m older than many/most here but still am in 100% in favour of ALL manner of rock and roll depravity. Gotta have that deranged shit (hell they probably thought Elvis was deranged back in the day) to prune out the staid & static societal more’s and usher in The New Motherfucking Age
I don't object to 'shocking' it's the talentless bit that fucks me off.

Listen to the song Iggy did with the chick from B52s. She has a belter of a voice ( I always liked them as a band ) and the talent disparity in that duo is vast.
At the very best he sounds like someones drunk uncle who can just hold a tune and won't let anyone else have a turn at karaoke.
EDIT: come to think of it the bloke in B52s couldn't sing for shit either. That band was all about the harmonies those girls could smash out which they did magnificently at times.

Not going to link to a video but am currently listening to U2s Joshua Tree after contemplating going to one of the 30th anniversary shows touring the album.
Despite Bono being a bit of a Pocockwomble this album really does still stand up. A heap of quality and worth the end to end listen. -
