Have been re-watching the Larry Sanders Show. Really good TV comedy. Hank's Video was a classic episode.

I saw Iron Man 2 the other day and was thinking how good Gary Shandling was in it. Must get some of those old shows.

Through the 1st 5 episodes of Game of Thrones, am enjoying it, alot of complex and detailed characters and sub plots, I dont think I feel I am missing anything (in regard to an earlier comment from someone about having their mate fill them in who had read the books?)

Peter Dinklage is superb as Tyrion Lannister, plenty of other characters to love and hate too

Just finished season one of Game of thrones..absolutely fantastic, now I'm torn between reading the books or waiting for the next season. Its been great not having read the books to be totally not expecting each twist and turn of the series, I think I might try and hold off on the books at least until the series starts to lose its lustre.

Given that Rubicon was cancelled, it's pretty shitty that AMC renewed their terrible adaptation of The Killing.

I folded, and started in on the books halfway through the season. Just finished the 3rd book, picking the 4th one up at the library tomorrow, and hope to knock it out before the 5th book gets released on July 12th. Then a 7 year wait until Martin writes the 6th book.

Just finishes Ep 7 of GoT, and was surprised with the ending, if somewhat a little disappointed, given what I think of Joffrey....<img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

Just watched all three seasons of breaking bad and thought it was bloody brilliant. Pinkman is a wonderful character and I am glad that they kept him around for the entire show. I thought that they were going to get rid of him for a while towards the end of season 2.

Glad that my wait isn't as long as what some of you fellow Ferners have had to endure for season 3. Only a few weeks now, hehehe.

I agree, thought it was pretty meh really whereas last weeks finale would have been a great way to end the season - this ep would have made a decent setting up ep for S2.

Even though I'm sure the actress who plays the Khaleesi is probably in her 20s she just seems so young - I kind of felt uncomfortable seeing her naked even though there is no reason I should (bloody society and its morale compass)!

SPOILER ALERT (if anyone can tell me where to find the spoiler button I will hide this)

I must say I was disappointed at the end with the appearance of the dragons - I thought they were going to remain as myths. While I'm still looking forward to the 2nd series I'm a wee bit apprehensive.

Yes, I know it is based on fantasy books - but the first series fooled me into thinking that they wouldn't have any 'real' dragons.

I kinda expected them to show at some point following the scene where Khaleesi realised she was the dragon, not her brother when she held the hot egg. what was in the final ep (naming of his son as the Northern King, the birth of the dragons, the Knights watch off beyond the wall) sets it nicely for the 2nd series, but as a season finale...

In the subsequent books of GoT, you will see the significance of the dragons as part of Daenerys story. Her story IMHO is one of the highlights of the upcoming books. I hope the upcoming series will match.
Watch Justified and Treme in the meantime. They take up two of the spots of my top 4 shows currently airing (along with Community and Parks and Recreation).

Or do yourself a huge favor, and watch all five seasons of Friday Night Lights if you haven't seen it. Or Arrested Development. Or The Wire. Or Firefly. Or Battlestar Galactica. Etc etc.
how many series are there of this? S1 looks to be starting in NZ on Tursday on TV1.

NZ TV seem to be a bit behind but have a habit of buying the completeseries and playing them back to back (e.g Castle, Sons of Anarchy) rather than in a similar timezone to other countries and wait for the next series

Hey Rusty - do you have any new series recommendations?

I'm actually really enjoying the USA Network bright (lit) shows at the moment (Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, White Collar) even though I suspect it is uncool to.

I would like a really engrossing show to use as my Exercycle show (I cycle while I watch) but none of the ones I've been watching have really grabbed me. I quite like Fringe but not enough as a cycle show. And I fine it weird how they made the main lady less attractive in the series than she was in the pilot.
