Great result for Scotland. The NH sides often have their 10s deeper and narrower than the nz super rugby sides which I find annoying but they created some nice tries.

Visser beats North clean twice in the same passage and scores to give Scotland a 13 point lead.

    Pretty poor.

North was pants. Is he really a Lions tour contender?

It will be going off big time in Thistle St tonight. Well deserved win by Scotland. They fought back against the point of the game they were getting owned in (the breakdown) and took the spoils because of it.
An also-ran year for Wales now.

He's not properly fit and yet is being flogged by Wales.

Is he carrying an injury? I know he had time off from concussion but he was fit before then and was cleared a couple of weeks ago.
I agree that I have seen him sharper but still, you are only as good as your last game and on that performance he should slip down the Lions list.

@Crucial He didn't play against England two weeks ago and looked below par for much of the previous game v Italy. Ho had a thigh problem but scored a good try although it looked like he limped it in. They kept him on for the rest of the game too. Neither Wales nor Northampton have good previous on his concussion issues either, keeping him on the filed when it was pretty obvious it was the last place he should be.

    Oh yeah.

    Ireland won as well.

Makes Round 4 interesting. Scotland with tails up against England. Wales with some revenge on their minds at home to Ireland.

Huge pressure on the Scots to prove they can string results together after year upon fucken miserable year of one gutsy effort preceding a limp wristed shithouse one.

The team is looking good and the back three is as good as any going round. Weakness in the front row but both Grays should have booked a spot here mid year at the very least along with Hogg ( surely the Lions test fullback ), maybe Seymour and Laidlaw.

France as rudderless as they have been for the last few years. It's just individual efforts all over the park with players lacking some basic skills. The number of bombed offloads yesterday that were caused by the awful support lines of the French were enough to make the teams from the 80s ashamed to have been watching.

And my pet peeve Sébastien Vahaamahina, it doesn't matter that you are 126kg if you can't take a hit up while moving, get the fuck out of the channel. I want both him and the half back fined every time they link up. It's dumb dumb dumb rugby. But it's their go to forward move for crashing slow ball.

@mooshld Agreed. And every time they spread the ball I kept thinking they would fuck it up, and they usually would with poor offloading or passes like you said . The forwards are unfit and looked spent just before half time

I see the English media is already talking about England likely getting 9 or 10 points from their next two games but not likely to be enough to win the title before they play Ireland in Round 5.

Presumably Scotland might have something to say about that...

What's the BP rule being used? $ tries or more than 3 tries different?

Italy hold England to 0-0 after quarter of the game. England looking very flat and uninterested. I expect Eddie will give them a half time rev up for playing at only 68.94% potential

England backline finally get good ball on the 22 and look like they just met before the game.
Hartley going nuts because Italy are purposely not forming rucks then making the most of having no offside line. England too used to the training ground drills and can't work out what to do...

Finally though they use brute force to pile over the line from a maul

Kick to come... Farrell misses (0/3 at the moment)

    5-0
