@jegga The only actor to be killed by an alien, the terminator and the predator.

I'm a big fan of Tombstone but also like Aliens and True Lies.

Wasn't Lance Hendrickson liked by all 3 too?

Yep, but Paxton was the first.

RIP Bill Paxton , toss up between Aliens and One false move as my favourite of his films

Billy Bob was a mean mofo in the latter.

RIP Bill. My favourite role was Coconut Pete in 'Club Dread' ( comedy by the same guys who did Super Troopers )

    Funny as fuck.

I didn't see it, but I heard that Mormon series he was in was pretty good.

Nobody going to rate his work in Twister or Mighty Joe Young? Ah well, the pay check was probably phenomenal.

Thought he was awesome in Aliens and was generally a big fan of his work. Real shame.

The movie he directed, Frailty, was good. A very entertaining watch.

Yeah he went from a pussy who bitched and moaned into a genuine badass who took out a few Aliens.

Also great in Predator 2 as the smartass cop.

    La La Land.

I would have given this a solid 3.5 because I love Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling together, and when they weren't singing (I tuned out in the musical numbers, they just didn't grab me) this was a decent story and they are cute. But then came that last minute.

Fuck you, you fucking bastard fluffybunny writer director who gave a Stone/Gosling love marriage baby montage then ripped it away and ended the movie without a HEA. FUCK YOU.

May you be doused in syrup and staked to an anthill.
May your balls be crushed in a vice.
May you be forced to listen to Justin Beiber and watch reruns of Melody Rules UNTIL YOU DIE.

    Zero stars. Because FUCK YOU.

Paxton had supporting roles in some decent movies in recent years (e.g. Nightcrawler, Edge of Tomorrow).

@Mokey Can I be happy La La Land didn't win the best movie award (despite the fuck-up at the presentation)?

That Oscar fuck up looked hilariously awkward.

Is it just me or are there a shitload more classic movies that *haven't * won Oscar's than those who have?

There was an article in the SST about the process to determine the winners and what happens at the ceremony. I assume these 2 PWC accountants fucked up and gave Bonnie and Clyde the wrong envelope.

Moonlight is a deserving winner (once they got around to it). I watched it a few nights ago and it is excellent.

I watched Manchester by the Sea last night and thought to myself it would be a tragedy if Affleck didn't win. An excellent portrayal of his character that kicks you right in the guts.

Having the wrong envelope is such a simple mistake. So simple that one might even suspect the whole thing was staged. Great way to get people talking about the oscars... 🙂

The whole Oscars crew and attendees must have been so busy readying their anti-Trump speeches that they fucked up the big moment.

Wank-fest goes wrong, can't produce money shot.
