I was told the 'Rx' means required weight so as Kirwan says it can be compared worldwide and if you want to go that step further, film yourself and send the vid into Crossfit.com
6am done and dusted. 5 x 5 Overhead Squad, ended at 50kg (PB). WOD was 21 -15 - 9 of 42.5kg OH Squat and Burpees. Notable for being my first Rx weights workout, took just over 14mins. Middle 15 OH Squats were just terrible form, and it really sucks having to keep picking that weight back up from the ground.
<br />

That awesome man.

6am workouts in the middle of Winter. Excellent dedication, although rather you than me. Tough workouts as well. How are the kipping pull ups going?

That's been not too bad, even when we had snow it was OK. Hardest part is getting out of bed, once that's done it's over before you know it.<br />
<br />
Feels great when you complete it knowing it's only 7am and you you're done for the day.<br />
<br />
The kipping pullups are starting to come together, I can do 6 in a row now and to be honest it's my hands stopping me from getting to my first target of 10. Getting some pretty decent blisters, particularly from the pullups, but also from exercises where the weights get thrown around, or deadlifts.<br />
<br />
But they feel more comfortable, I just have to get the start position right at the end of each one. Getting pretty high with them too.

<br />
Have you got a current photo K, to go with your before photo that you posted a while back - you'd damn near be having some abs there wouldn't you?

That's the photo that changed everything for me, I don't even recognise myself in that. Very scary.<br />
<br />
Still a lot of trimming to go, stomach is almost flat but still an inch to take of there and it would be nice to lose the double chin <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /><br />
<br />
Forgot to mention that I'm 82kg in that last photo, but no fat gained. Much bigger legs (never worked them before) too, and a decent amount of muscle on my back, also not really worked that before too. I think if I just keep on this schedule, with the intensity of the training, moderate diet it will jsut come off without changing anything else.<br />
<br />
And that blue t-shirt is pretty loose, the weight was coming off but not much toning going on.<br />
<br />
I'm making the odd tweak tot he diet, particularly around breakfast, but have a good groove going.

Pretty bloody stoked today. 5 x 1 Push Press got up to 80kg, which puts me at the top of the board and 5kgs ahead of the instructor. Yes, I'm a competitive douchebag.<br />
<br />
WOD was Cindy; 5 Pullups, 10 Pressups, 15 Squats AMRAP in 20mins. Got to 11 and then my hands gave up on the pullups, and I ripped a callus off, nice bit of blood. Might have got to 12 if I didn't stop. Maybe.<br />
<br />
So that's 55 pullups, 110 pressups and 165 squats in 20mins. And no more jump pullups either, they were all kipping pullups, and up until round 8 all done in a row to get the 5 done.

I believe the technical term is "fat fluffybunny". That's what you will look like if you eat a Magnum for pudding every day.

We have a charity event on the 17th of September, with a whole lot of people coming up to our gym to do Fight Gone Bad. Strangely, we seem to be doing that WOD once a week now <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /><br />
<br />
Warmups now include an 800metre run, which dragged me from sleepy mode to awake this morning. So three rounds of 5 exercises, as many reps as you can in a minute, rest between rounds of 1 minute, add up your reps for your score. <br />
<br />
Calories rowed, 9kg wall ball to ten foot target, sumo high pull, box jumps (new hideously high box too), push press. I got 199, 16 less than last time. I think he's put my weights up, and I definitely got less box jumps. Happy that the reps didn't fade over the rounds, I guess.

Awesome stuff Kirwan, I wish my push press was progressing as fast as yours, I'm a bit stuck at the moment ! I just realised I've actually met you briefly at a before the rugby in welly fern type thing before the test at the Loaded Hog a couple of years back. It was mainly "this is blah blah blah fern name is blah blah blah" type stuff and it was farkin noisy. I think Voltman organised it from memory.

That the one that Barnya rocked up to? We should have a few more of those in Wellywood, they were pretty regular in London. <br />
<br />
I think the Push Press is coming along because of all the thrusters and wall balls I've had to do recently. Lot so overlap in the WODs, so when you get a chance at the strength stuff you can see some real gains. Squats are not going anywhere at the moment, so hopefully they pick up again.<br />
<br />
Out of all the exercises, I find the Push Press the easiest. With that momentum you only have to half lift it, then lock out with your arms "behind your ears".

Coulda been yeah. I stayed for a couple then took off. Couldn't hear a word anyone said cos of the crowds. Definitely keen for a few cheekies with everyone during some WC games in the nations capital, Tighthead Ted ( anyone know where he has gone ? ) and I proved we literally couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery so I'll leave that side of things to someone else. Yeah I love the Push press too but have stalled lately as I suppose everyone does.

Had to test the motivation today, a busy week means I'll probably have to do three 6am sessions with the first one being today. Thanks for the f-ing ice Paraparaumu.<br />
<br />
We've changed the warmups now, with instead of skipping/rowing we do an 800m run. Nice small distance to build up some strength in my dodgy calfs, and for the hell of it I went at quick pace today instead of a jog. No issues at all, was a good feeling.<br />
<br />
Strength was 3 x Thrusters, got the PB up from 62.5kg to 70kg (another one joining the trainer at the top of the board). WOD was 21-15-9 15kg Dumbbell from floor, squat and assisted ringdips.<br />
<br />
I'm not too far from the dropping the rubber band assisting me with the ringdips. And finally, we started the session with pullups progressions, ending with your max pullups. I hit my first target for this and hit 10 kipping pullups. Hello double figures <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

good work on that calf K. Nothing better than being able to run, as opposed to jog, and have no worries with any twinges. (Touching wood right here for you at the same time as typing this)!!
