    The evidence of your hardwork is plain to see mate - Dude in pic 2 is a totally different person compared to that first pic.<br />

    Great work!

    Pretty bloody stoked today. 5 x 1 Push Press got up to 80kg, which puts me at the top of the board and 5kgs ahead of the instructor. Yes, I'm a competitive douchebag.<br />
    <br />
    WOD was Cindy; 5 Pullups, 10 Pressups, 15 Squats AMRAP in 20mins. Got to 11 and then my hands gave up on the pullups, and I ripped a callus off, nice bit of blood. Might have got to 12 if I didn't stop. Maybe.<br />
    <br />
    So that's 55 pullups, 110 pressups and 165 squats in 20mins. And no more jump pullups either, they were all kipping pullups, and up until round 8 all done in a row to get the 5 done.

    I believe the technical term is "fat fluffybunny". That's what you will look like if you eat a Magnum for pudding every day.

    We have a charity event on the 17th of September, with a whole lot of people coming up to our gym to do Fight Gone Bad. Strangely, we seem to be doing that WOD once a week now <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /><br />
    <br />
    Warmups now include an 800metre run, which dragged me from sleepy mode to awake this morning. So three rounds of 5 exercises, as many reps as you can in a minute, rest between rounds of 1 minute, add up your reps for your score. <br />
    <br />
    Calories rowed, 9kg wall ball to ten foot target, sumo high pull, box jumps (new hideously high box too), push press. I got 199, 16 less than last time. I think he's put my weights up, and I definitely got less box jumps. Happy that the reps didn't fade over the rounds, I guess.

    Awesome stuff Kirwan, I wish my push press was progressing as fast as yours, I'm a bit stuck at the moment ! I just realised I've actually met you briefly at a before the rugby in welly fern type thing before the test at the Loaded Hog a couple of years back. It was mainly "this is blah blah blah fern name is blah blah blah" type stuff and it was farkin noisy. I think Voltman organised it from memory.

    That the one that Barnya rocked up to? We should have a few more of those in Wellywood, they were pretty regular in London. <br />
    <br />
    I think the Push Press is coming along because of all the thrusters and wall balls I've had to do recently. Lot so overlap in the WODs, so when you get a chance at the strength stuff you can see some real gains. Squats are not going anywhere at the moment, so hopefully they pick up again.<br />
    <br />
    Out of all the exercises, I find the Push Press the easiest. With that momentum you only have to half lift it, then lock out with your arms "behind your ears".

    Coulda been yeah. I stayed for a couple then took off. Couldn't hear a word anyone said cos of the crowds. Definitely keen for a few cheekies with everyone during some WC games in the nations capital, Tighthead Ted ( anyone know where he has gone ? ) and I proved we literally couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery so I'll leave that side of things to someone else. Yeah I love the Push press too but have stalled lately as I suppose everyone does.

    Had to test the motivation today, a busy week means I'll probably have to do three 6am sessions with the first one being today. Thanks for the f-ing ice Paraparaumu.<br />
    <br />
    We've changed the warmups now, with instead of skipping/rowing we do an 800m run. Nice small distance to build up some strength in my dodgy calfs, and for the hell of it I went at quick pace today instead of a jog. No issues at all, was a good feeling.<br />
    <br />
    Strength was 3 x Thrusters, got the PB up from 62.5kg to 70kg (another one joining the trainer at the top of the board). WOD was 21-15-9 15kg Dumbbell from floor, squat and assisted ringdips.<br />
    <br />
    I'm not too far from the dropping the rubber band assisting me with the ringdips. And finally, we started the session with pullups progressions, ending with your max pullups. I hit my first target for this and hit 10 kipping pullups. Hello double figures <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    good work on that calf K. Nothing better than being able to run, as opposed to jog, and have no worries with any twinges. (Touching wood right here for you at the same time as typing this)!!

    I figure if I can go at 60% at 6am in the freezing cold as my warmup, with no stretching, then I'm good to go. Touch wood.<br />
    <br />
    I took two months off running, did one 5km, and are keeping the distances low. Seems to be working so far. Something had to.

    Interesting morning session. 800m warmup run again, no probs. Tweaked my shoulders doing a Jerk at 75kg, lost form and tried to recover to far forward and my shoulders bore the brunt of that. Completed 70kg previously though, and that was a PB.<br />
    <br />
    I had to re-gig the WOD because of the shoulders, so ended up doing 4 rounds of 50 squats, 7 x 80kg deadlifts, 10 stupidly high box jumps. Took just over 10 minutes.<br />
    <br />
    Have a rest day tomorrow, so have two days for my shoulders to recover from whatever they are complaining about.

    Another 6am job today, no strength work just technique work on the overhead squat so we could use that in a WOD.<br />
    <br />
    Then it was 21-15-9 of 30kg OH Squat, Pullups and 400m run. I got lazy, I should have done 35kg (I finished all my sets in one go) and dropped the the pullups to 15-9-6 because my hands weren't handling it. Flat workout really, and I skipped dinner last night because of kid dramas so that didn't help.<br />
    <br />
    Allowed one low intensity workout <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> At least the running is coming on, all at fast jogging pass, 800m warmup, and 3 x 400m. All good.

    Missed Friday's update, that was a lunchtime session made interesting because a new couple turned up. The guy was a military guy and super fit, and his girlfriend was awesomely hot. I've never seen the guys work so hard in class <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /><br />
    <br />
    For strength, we did 3 x Front Squat, I got my PB up another 10kg to 90kg (happily matching GI Joe). And the WOD was 3RFT of 10 x 50kg Clean and Jerk, 15 Ring Dips (I did them assisted) and 20 x 20kg Kettlebells. Think I took just over 13 minutes for that one, was a good workout.<br />
    <br />
    GI Joe did 60kg for the C & J and unassisted ring dips and was just under a minute quicker than me. Interesting to peg yourself against someone new, when they are clearly seriously into fitness.

    And that would be three, had 9 or 10 last week.<br />

    Really tough workout today, am shakey shattered right now. Strength work as 5 x Snatch, which I got up to 40kg. Just a difficult exercise this one technically as well as effort wise. We were all blowing after this. Then it was 400m run (in the snow!), 21 x 20kg Kettlebell, and 12 x Pullups for three rounds. Took 15:12, stalled big time on the last round. Nothing left in the tank though, and very sore forearms.
