Our kicking game has been shocking. Pernara and Barrett have both been poor and our outside backs have been completely out of position. Have to be a lot better in the second half.

    Fatialofa = deservered
the other hurricane head high = should have been yellow
bird = yellow -late, no arms
savea = no idea didn't see a replay that showed it

how long before dane coles does something he'll regret my guess is 15 mins into the second half

Bird should have got a card given the precedent set.

No doubt. Fatialofa gets one for no arms and then a no arm tackle off the ball isn't even a penalty. Absolute joke.

I'm assuming if the ref didn't see it the call is the TMO? Can the on field ref overule the TMO from the replay?

Ref said the TMO saw it and said it was nothing. Which is a joke. The TMO should have seen the ruling on the Fatialofa incident and reffed it consistently.

This rain is ruining the game unfortunately. Its a bit like the fog final its that bad

And I don't mind yellow cards. But how about consistency. Or do they only apply to one side. Dirt by the Chiefs is allowed it seems whereas slipping by Canes players due to the rain isn't

There is no way that other head high was a yellow. If that was a yellow then every single high tackle is a yellow.

Yeah it seems crazy that the TMO couldnt interject on the bird shoulder.

TKB absolutely dominating Perenara so far. I must say DMac has been very impressive in the wet so far.

TKB has been very impressive. We are pretty spoilt at HB at the moment.

That's some hometown bullshit right there.

    Jackson isn't reffing.

Your thoughts on the late shoulder charge from Bird on TJP?

I actually missed it. Getting ready for work. Will rewind in a moment

Fair enough. Funny thing is the ref saw it and his response was to give both captains a "talking too" about the niggle. Crazy referring after the YCs he'd been dishing out.

Fatialofa's one was an aggressive charge with no arms in the direction of the head. It carried high danger and affected play.
Bird's one was an after the ball shoulder check that carried little danger and had no effect on play.
Should have at least been a penalty and a strong warning to cut out the niggle. For consistency though I wouldn't argue that a YC was unwarranted.

Sorry Crucial but that's nonsense. Bird's shoulder charge was late when the player was not bracing for impact and had the potential to break ribs. TJP was down for some time afterwards. 100% the wrong call from the ref.

I'm pretty sure danger isn't in the laws. A no arms tackle is just a yellow, especially if late.

That's like saying Luatua had no intent and it was TNW that actually ran into his arm

This ref is a dick eh? Did he even say what he carded Savea for? That straight after a penalty for collapsing the maul where he didn't even cite a number. Penalising the canes and while they wait to hear what it's for shoos them away and then says it once they're out of earshot. Then penalises TJP for sealing off, ignoring ALB diving at the man on the ground.

    He's out of his depth.

Edit: i wouldn't be complaining about the Bird non yellow after that shocker high tackle by Prinsep.

    Bird was clearly a yellow.

Your reasons? I concede that it would be a yellow for consistency but remove everything else in the game and view it as an isolated incident and you'd think it was a harsh call if yellow (especially if a yellow jersey worn by the culprit)

Since when is a shoulder charge not a YC?

It was dirty play. But for the reason given below

Hitting a player well after the ball in this way = at least a yellow

Shoulder charge was a yellow before the new rules were brought into effect.
