France beat Wales in just under 100 minutes in a Barnes farce, he did his best to let Wales win but couldn't pull it off.

    Are you kidding?

He didn't have a clue all match about the scrum. In regulation, Wales got pinged incorrectly.

In the extra 20 mins, France should have had a penalty try about 5 mins in.

As much as I wanted Ireland to win ,

Could be a blessing in disguise for England , can't help but think they were getting a bit ahead of themselves

A loss can put your feet back on the ground and make you work harder

I want to smooch every single player in the Irish team so much right now. I am so, so happy they won. Don't care how they did it, just that they did.

Ireland love ruining everyone's party! Wonder what that horrible little hobbit of a coach England have has to say about the result now, after being arrogant and dismissive all week

Fucking hell, tough break England, but an incredible run nonetheless. Ireland officially the party poopers of world rugby.

To be fair he has been quite quiet this week apart from the Red Riding Hood comments at Shag.

The players have set themselves up for big disappointment though as they brought into the vibe of not achieving anything if they didn't win today.

I enjoyed that, and was happy to call on the Irish ancestry for a day. I thought that the English players had stagefright in the 1st half but they worked their way back into the match in the 2nd half with a more direct approach and some impact from the bench.

After watching the Wales-Ireland game last week I wasn't too impressed with Marmion but I thought he controlled things very well. Excellent defence from the Irish inside backs really stiffled England's attack. A well deserved win.

England didn't string together one backline move in the whole game. Farell was good, everyone else were a bit meh.

As ever, after a win like that, Ireland get to sit in the dressing room thinking on what might have been, whilst they listen to England celebrating the Championship next door.

Here's hoping the June tour unearths a few more nuggets for the squad depth.

I don't think Ireland will be sitting down, and I think the noise they'll make will drown out what will be a downcast England team. 6N is a consolation prize compared to getting into the record books. Winning a tournament on a loss is a bit 'meh'

And comparing shag to the big bad wolf was pretty witty I thought ,

I personally think Eddie takes the piss more than he is given credit for

You would hope that is the way they feel. That sort of mindset is key on the path to greater glory

They won the tournament last week after a thumping victory over Scotland.
