@booboo A tip: I only type in the players surname so never worry about their first name.
@Bovidae my point about his first name is that he used the correct number of i's. I applaud his Scottish heritage. Too many of English heritage scrimp on the correct number of vowels in the spelling.
FYI I dont usually guess with the first name. Unless something like "Jonah" is going to get recognised.
Was perturbed that no matter how many timeszl I typed "Fitzy" or "Fitzpatrick" it wasn't accepted.

@Nepia Hey - No. 1 was an All Black. He had an exceptional record of coming from the bench in every test he played in and scoring a try in every test he played in.
He also lost every test he played in!

Ill-fated Stu Wilson as captain tour!
Damn, I loosely know the name, but that's about it. I'm glad I was more interested in playing that supporting in those days, that tour would have been frustrating as fudge for supporters.

Regarding my comment below, I am referring to the Waikato LH prop and Auckland no.6, in particular. The player most people will expect to be the Waikato no.1 in that match was actually sitting in the terraces that day.

@Nepia The only AB game I saw live in 12 years was the Twickenham match that Stu Wilson captained....

Urrgh. I saw us get beaten by France in 1994 but that had the try from the end of the world. I also saw the 1999 debacle but France were on fire that day.
The worst live loss I saw was an ABs v Wobs at Carisbrook in the 00s, we just played shit.

What game in 99?

Ive seen 41 tests live but only 4 defeats. 2 against England 73 and 83.
World XV in 92 (first game back in NZ - so I saw back to back defeats) and France 94.
All were shocking in their own way

44 tests live for me, including some RWC games not involving the ABs.
Of the AB tests I've only witnessed 1 loss - in my own fuckin' backyard (SA in 2009).
I did see the French lose on their 1994 tour, and that was against NH at Eden Park.
@Bovidae That's a pretty good winning record
I didn't have that many opportunities to see AB's live until I was in my 30's through a mix of only played about 5 tests at EP in the 70's and another half doz in the 12 winters I spent in Europe. Crazy when compared to todays programme.
My dubious distinction is that the first AB side I saw only contained one player born after WWII (NMS' uncle) and 3 born before it started
-
Only AB tests I've been to are
1983 - Lions v ABs at Athletic Park
1996 Scotland v ABs at Carisbrook
2005? South Africa v ABs at Wellington Regional Stadium
2009 Australia vs ABs at Tokyo
2013 Australia vs ABs at Wellington Regional Stadium
2014 Australia vs ABs at Lang Park100% winning record.

@dogmeat
My first AB test was vs the World XV in 1992 and it was 4 years later before I went to my second test. The majority of my AB tests have been post 2000 but I also lived outside of NZ for 4 years in that decade so didn't attend any tests, or be able to watch most of them on TV. -
