@Bovidae Yeah I'd say so. It's a bloody rollercoaster! Just gets better every episode, I was cackling away at the end of episode 11.

@Bones just finished S1 of Bosch, enjoyed it so will get more.

5 eps into the Last Kingdom, is different to the first series but still pretty good.

So after spending 9 months in my List on Netflix finally gotten round to watching this unknown show called Stranger Things.
Not sure if anyone else has heard of it.
Pretty fucken good, great nods to the 80s with the John Carpenter synth music to the mix of watching Stephen King/Spielberg even X-Files.
With season 2 to be available later this year I look forward to catching that in 2019.

I've just started watching it, only up to episode 2 though. The music does jump out at me so much because it reminds me of Halt and Catch Fire's music from a similar era.

It's quite interesting even if some of those kids are just plain annoying (no teeth and black kid - although black kid seems poorly written) then again I'm only two eps.

People just do Nothing ......... Mockumentary about some early 20's kids in Bremford, West London, Kind of reminds me of the office in the style it takes.

Follows the lives of a couple of main characters who generally bum around and run a pirate radio station playing exclusively old school UK garage.

I am a huge fan of the music (which they do very well whilst still incorporating a lot of humour), but you definately dont need to be into it to appreciate the show.

Try "Love" on Netflix. There's two seasons available, 22 episodes in all. Roughly 30 mins per episode so easy to get through.

Judd Apatow is involved; it's a TV series that plays like his movies (not quite as profane). I'm a big fan of Apatow and this is quite decent. A pretty realistic look at single life for 30 somethings in LA. Stars a nerdy looking nice guy who does a bit of "will they, won't they" with a pretty moist chick who's a tad fucked-up (addicted to booze, loser boyfriends etc). Some vigorous sex but you don't get to see tits let alone bush. It's rom-com-esque but without the lameness of romcoms.

Funny dialogue, cool music, and an homage to nerdy stuff. The dude works on a B grade TV show so the highlight for me is some great satire of the egos and politics of the actors and production crew.

Just finished it. Still watchable. Alfred's such a shunt tho - they captured that part of the books at least.

@Crucial yeah she's hot. In a skinny way.

This is an interesting announcement - Judge Dredd tv series. No network on board yet but there are a lot of nerds who would dig it.

@dK you look the same 😉

Mrs has been watching (as have I cos I'm a good husband) Versaille, I'm not sold on it, plus there is a bit too much man on man action for my liking, probably as much as man on women action, but do wonder about how the French were back then with regard to homosexuality given they were very religious, yet it seems homosexuality was flaunted, particularly as it is the Kings brother.

I don't think I've seen a more blatant pick up line on TSF before.
