Homeland heading well for it's final 90 minute episode. Last ep was brilliant. Let's hope they don't do a Sutter on us.<br />
<br />
After my comment above about rewatching some of it I think that the clues are all there for what is going to go down.
<br />
SPOILERS * TR and others who haven't watched DON'T READ from here on. * SPOILERS<br />
<br />
I thought the last ep was interesting - although I have read that the series will continue so it will be interesting to see how they resolve the main characters story arcs. I wonder if they will even continue using the main characters?<br />
<br />
I thought that they played the manic side of it pretty well - at no stage did I think they were taking the piss or Danes was hamming it up.<br />
<br />
When Damien Lewis was speaking about Gettysburg all I could think of was that he was a mix of Winters and his character from Life (Winters for the commanding way he spoke and Life for the way he was even still a bit odd as he did it). -
finished SOA, what a bloody cop out!! <br />
<br />
Like most have said, was going well until the finale! <br />
<br />
I reckon they coulda used the Juice storyline as a way to finish it. -

I think the main reason it felt like a cop out is that it wasn't handled like a twist where it could dawn on the viewer. It just happened and they moved on. That interview with Sutter shows that he thought he had put enough clues in place for it not to be so abrupt but they were a bit too subtle and didn't even cause suspicions.<br />
<br />
To build everything up and cut it down so quick was the let down. If they had played out the 'reveal' over a couple of episodes it would have been better.<br />
<br />
That said, I feel there is a big 'reveal' also coming in Homeland and this time I think the clues have been stronger. It wil probably add to the story rather than remove the whole plot like the SOA one as well. -
yeah thinking back, I can think of maybe a couple of hints of the possibility, but even knowing the way it panned out, they would be wild guesses at best IMO.

Too subtle by far and the main flaw is that there was no need for them to let Link's mob continue so far. It's just fiction though and always has moments you have to suspend belief. The trick is to handle it in the manner that doesn't piss people off. I think they didn't get that part right this time around so let's hope it's a lesson learned because apart from that plot device the rest of the series was great and I really enjoyed it. -
oh well, at least it was better than S3 for 13 ep's <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> <br />
<br />
Will get stuck into Homeland now! Have only watched 1 episode and you can tell they intend keeping you guessing as to his allegiance while painting a picture of his guilt.<br />
<br />
As an aside, if you wanna post spoilers, why not post them in a white font so they are invisible unless you highlight them?? see...That way it'll avoid any accidental reading, as there can sometimes just be key words that can be a giveaway, as in SOA, if you said CIA! -

although I see they are faintly legible in a quote, should be fine to avoid any accidents <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
I'll say: worst episode of the entire series, including all the Irish episodes - what an awful end to what has been a decent S4.
<br />
<br />
yeah, it was an anti climax, boring in parts when it did promise so much. still, I'll be there for the s05 opener!<br />
<br />
Homeland ended at the weekend and it was a pretty good 1st series, tense in parts.<br />
<br />
Dexter S06 was probably the poorest yet. the twist at the end it setting up an interesting start to next season.... -
-
Am upto Ep 9 of Homeland, and am enjoying it, but a little surprised there appears to be a S2 of it...
-
Finished up with Homeland, enjoyed the series, thought the final ep was ok, set up a reasonable 2nd series. <br />
<br />
I was actually most disappointed with the handling of the 'catchup' in ep. 11, looked like amateur hour really and could see there was no way it was going as planned.
